is this JJ and Barber together in the backfield.

That can be used so many different ways.

BTW did you see the block barber gave, absolutly sweet!

Absolutely love your vid clips.

THAT was a great RB team play... and then they celebrated it together. Sweet!

that formation could present a lot of possibilities. I would like to see more of it as well.

I could see hitting TO with a slant and him splitting the defenders in the secondary :D

I'm more interested in seeing the play action off that play and toss it in the flat to Barber.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing that play some this year, but I sure as hell don't want to see it " A lot ". Barber takes enough of a beating as it is, I don't want too many hits on him wasted on him blocking for The Robot.

I was asking myself...why not put them both in the backfield in a pro formation? But I LOVE seeing them in together at one time!:)

Nice. Lot of weapons when they are all out there. If we dont have a Lorenzo Neal blocking, I would be fine with the shared back field. MB can block as well as any of the FBs.

JuJo may have bounced that outside. Wouldnt mind seeing that either...

I dont want to see too much of that formation. Barber already takes a ton of hits, the last thing they need to do is wear him out blocking for JJ.

good point ... but if they switched it up at times and let MBIII carry the ball out of the FB position that would be great. Or PAP to MBIII ... that's just a confusing formation for the defense as the options with two solid runners, TO, Witten, and Crayton out there.

I still like the idea ....

I am sure the coaches realize this, and will probably use this formation as a change up and to give the defense another look. If anything, it will force teams to practice against something else.

I gotta say... we should be able to give SO MANY different looks out there that defenders heads will be spinning.... they wont know which way to go... they wont know who is getting the ball.. and thats a great thing....

gone are the days when even the fans in the stands knew what play was coming and who was getting the ball:bang2:

The funny thing is that JJ was to follow MBIII's block, but the guy with no vision decided to hit the better hole to the left;)

If Crayton gets downfield to the next guy that one is taken to the house. Not saying he should have but it looked possible and he is just watching at the end of the play - he would have really had to sprint to the next defender to get in front of JJ.

The hole was good both ways. The far WR took his defender farther downfield than Crayton did, so the right side might have even been better.

But Julius doesn't go right very well. He could have picked either side. IMO, he'd always rather go left.

Interesting that you bring up MBIII's block....... Last week after the game I got taken to task by a few members who thought MBIII was too much of a "pretty boy" to block for JJ. When I brought up his block on that run, and the blitz he picked up on TO's TD you would have thought I had taken all 5 Super Bowl trophies, tied them to the back of my Suburban, and driven around the parking lot with them dragging behind me like George Costanza did with the Yankees WS trophy in that Seinfeld episode. I agree with you.

I think Garrett is foaming at the mouth waiting for the season to start so he can show his real game plan.

To quote an idiot one year later ................. "Its gonna be a show"

Crayton didn't block with much enthusiam; if Julius had cut to the right behind Crayton he probably would have been tackled by his man. Plus, once Crayton disengaged, he didn't even try to hit anyone else, he just kind of trotted along and watched the safeties tackle Jones.

There was another run by Julius that if Crayton had blocked well would have been a huge gain. I can't remember when or where in the game but just remember thinking that it could have been big.
