The price for Dallas Cowboys star defender is only getting higher

We’re not winning with him and he hasn’t shown up in the big games or playoffs. He’s wears down as the season goes on. He’s not worth the money. Trade him!

Not if you just franchise tag him.
They exercised his 5th year option so they cannot “tag him”. He’s already under contract. At this point he has to make a decision. Do I show up and play on the 5th year option or do I refuse to show up without a new deal signed?

Based on the Cowboys’ recent history in these matters what do you think is going to happen? Keep in mind, while he can be fined for not showing up to camp, because he’s on a rookie contract those fines can be rescinded. I’ll bet his agent knows that.

Here we go again with the front office of the Dallas Cowboys waiting forever to pay Micah. and doing so made his price even higher. Myles Garrett signed on Sunday with the Cleveland Browns, the biggest non-QB money in the history of the league. Only problem for Dallas: The highest-paid defensive end dollar figure has risen substantially in the last calendar year. Last summer, San Francisco’s Nick Bosa earned $34 million per year. Maybe the Cowboys could’ve signed Parsons for a few million more. Now, Maxx Crosby reset the market last week before Garrett leapfrogged him. Garrett’s deal is expected to pay him $40 million per year, and it has a record $123.5 million guaranteed.
I remember when I thought Philly was beyond stupid to be paying Hurts from the Eagles the year after he lost the superbowl.

Seeing what other QB's were signing for after Hurts, I guess it made sense to pay him at that time and first, and higher than everyone else to help stroke his ego pay wise.

Guess the same can be said for any other position per "highest paid position".

Then let him sit. This year is toast either way.

This team has gone through how many coaches, quarterbacks, offensive and defensive schemes, and key players and contracts since 1996?

Not a single NFC Championship Game appearance since then.

The one constant? Jerry Jones. How any Cowboys fan can excuse him after 29 years and six playoff wins to show for it baffles me.
This ladies and gentlemen is what we call a red herring.
