Not just LBers, all of them are going up........NFL/owners are making money. But guess what, they're about to make even more money with new TV deals around the corner.

Wow, he represented himself and got that deal. Good for him! It's starting to seem like all these other teams are paying big money, just so it raises the price for us to sign our best guys! I'm no conspiracy theorist, but

That happens at every position on a team.

The salary cap keeps going up and so will players salaries.

Good players, but neither in wagner's league.
Yep and when we beat them in SEA to break that home ground hold they had in 2014, he was out. He was the most underrated MLB in the game and over shadowed by the Legion of Boom and DL.

But as we're going to see, they do not have to be in his league to get close to what he's getting, especially when you consider the Cowboys made Lawrence the highest paid 4/3 DE.

Except the increase in salaries is greater than the increase in the cap. And I do not think the fact that they made Wilson the highest paid QB, temporarily, didn't have an effect on Wagner's contract.

That's what happened in PIT and it's going to happen to the Cowboys as well.

This.
Most hard core fans believe “there’s enough room to re-sign all our best players.” No there’s not. That’s the way the salary cap is designed. Market salaries will always exceed the cap, therefore tough personnel decisions must be made judiciously.

With the Cowboys, I don't consider it tough personnel decisions, it's the tough position decisions that they may make that concern me. They could get really offense lopsided on the cap very quickly.

the cowboys are not going to be able to sign all these players its that simple and jerry will sign the stars on offense that is what sells tickets and makes the money

Neither of these guys are as good as Bobby Wagner. Not even close.

And in the end, they may have to choose between Jaylon and LVE. Can't pay everybody.

I think the real problem is Amari here, not Zeke or Bobby Wagner. Bobby is the best linebacker in the world. Zeke is the best or top 3 RB in the world. Amari Cooper is good, but not the best, not top 5, arguably top 10. Bobby is well paid. Zeke will be well paid. Mosley and Amari will be overpaid and that’s the problem that’s occurring.

When Calvin Johnson and Adrian Peterson signed their mega deals, everyone acknowledged they were exceptions and no one else asked for close to that. But things have changed apparently. Now everyone who’s ever made a pro bowl wants top 5 money. That’s crazy.

I’m starting to get worried we can’t pay everyone with out really wrecking our cap.

If they overpay Zeke, and stay committed to Dak and Cooper, and have already committed to DLaw, the squeeze is on. The Cowboys have drafted better in recent years. It remains to be seen if they handle the cap regarding re-signing their best players for the future. Never been a Jerry strength.

Jaylon and LVE were always gonna get a mega deal here no matter what another team does. We tend to keep our own. That said, at least with LVE, we don't have to cross that bridge for a while. Jaylon is getting a deal before Zeke and before Byron. Byron looks like he's odd man out. Cannot pay everyone all at once.

I dont have a a problem paying Cooper because sometimes you have to pay based on projections. Its a gamble, but in building and maintaining a 53 players roster, you will have to make that gamble from time to time. It comes down to the organizations ability to assess how likely the player is to hit that projection.

With Cooper I dont have based on his past production, and his production with Dallas, I dont have a problem with them giving hin to tier money. I dont see any why why not to expect 80-90 receptions and 1,200-1,300 yards a year from him that has been the land mark number for Cowboys #1 WR

cooper needs to be paid way before Zeke. PAY COOP NOW. He showed what he meant to this entire team. Without him..it will be a cluster bleep.
