Yeah, I agree. Peterson was the "Wow" player Jerry kept talking about drafting last year, IMO. I seem to remember some comment he made months later -- maybe on his radio show before we played Minny -- that they loved Peterson but they just couldn't move up high enough for him. He's got to be thinking now that it would have been a good move to try harder to go get him.

And if Jerry thinks he might have a second chance to do something he wishes he'd done the first time...

true they didnt try hard or they couldnt blitz ether so ur right but there saying that we need to draft a rb and im saying hell naw we got marion barber III and julius jones we need to draft a cb instead or at least a defensive player in the first round

From your Stephen Jones radio show post last week .... "Stephen said that if you thought (McFadden) was a Peterson type player you'd have to consider seeing what it would take to get him ..."

And there were rumors last April that Jerry was interested in moving up to get Peterson. If McFadden starts dropping on draft day for some reason, all the muscle at Valley Ranch won't be able to hold Jerry back.

I'll tell ya Chief,

If McFadden did start dropping, and I'm not talking about out of the top 5 and into the top 10, then I don't know that I would want Jerry to stop. If Mcfadden dropped to around 15 or so, I would want us to move up and get him. I don't see it but if it happened, I would not be against moving up to get him. Then, the salary might be reasonable and the cost to move up not so rediculous. JMO

I have confidence in the Cowboys; they would have found a way to wilt in Dec. and Jan., just like the last few years.

I guess I'm just getting old but somehow it just doesn't mean much to me anymore.

Can't stand these people constantly comparing McFadden to Peterson. You can just tell that their styles are much more different. I think McFadden looks slow because he's a long strider, but I'll still take Peterson in a race. I feel Peterson has the better juke moves, is stronger, and is a better blocker. It's really not comparable at all. Maybe McFadden can come in and prove me wrong, but looking at their games and where they are, Peterson was the best RB talent to come out in a long, long time, and while McFadden is a 'sexy' pick, he's just not AD.
