The Pro Bowl leaves me with these two predominant thoughts.

First, T.O. was just electric once he started catching passes. The ankle sprain looked to be behind him as he played as if he was finally 100%. So I just can’t help but wonder how unstoppable an offense can be in the playoffs with a healthy T.O. If you think about it, the last two times T.O. played in the playoffs, where he was actually written into the game plan, he played injured and his teams had just fallen short of victory. Imagine what a healthy T.O. can do for our offense in the playoffs, and I just hope we finally find out in the upcoming season and beyond.

Second, Adrian Peterson got the MVP nod over T.O. (quite unfair if you asked me) and it just highlights what a top-notch 3-down RB can do for an offense. If I’m Jerry Jones, I’m thinking “McFadden” after watching Peterson paird up with MBIII in the Pro Bowl. The AFC's best defenders had no answer for those two.

I had the same thought... Jerry almost had to be thinking that McFadden could be the next Peterson.

That's a bit of a stretch from a game where the corners are required to play 5 yards off, there is no blitzing and you can't play any specialized defenses, don't you think?

I'm as big a McFadden fan as there is, but he doesn't have it like Peterson has it.

Wow.

I agree, but his speed is so evident on the field. He just looks faster than everone else. Kind of the way I used to feel when Deion was playing.

McFadden != Peterson. Peterson is on a whole other level that McFadden can only dream about.

First my disclaimer: I only saw brief glimpses pf McFadden. The one game I tried to watch was where McF was doing a lot of throwing, and Jones was doing the running.

That said, I don't think McFadden is the same kind of runner as Peterson. therefore, I wouldn't expect to see the same results.

CL,

From your Stephen Jones radio show post last week .... "Stephen said that if you thought (McFadden) was a Peterson type player you'd have to consider seeing what it would take to get him ..."

And there were rumors last April that Jerry was interested in moving up to get Peterson. If McFadden starts dropping on draft day for some reason, all the muscle at Valley Ranch won't be able to hold Jerry back.

if we get mcfadden barber is gone. mcfadden is gonna get a huge contract and barber's agent is also terrell's agent. that guy is gonna get barber a nice contract andhe's not worth it if you have mcfadden. that would be too much money tied up into 2 players and 1 is a backup.

Exactly.

I'm not saying AP isn't a great runningback, he certainly has proven he can go during the season, but I put ZERO stock into the Probowl when it comes to telling me how well he'd do against the top defenses in the league.

What I noticed about the pro bowl was that Flozell could've easily got called for dozen or so false starts aside from the one he got called for. DO NOT GIVE THIS GUY BIG MONEY!

Even my mom was calling that, and she has no idea what football is.

Yeah, I agree. Peterson was the "Wow" player Jerry kept talking about drafting last year, IMO. I seem to remember some comment he made months later -- maybe on his radio show before we played Minny -- that they loved Peterson but they just couldn't move up high enough for him. He's got to be thinking now that it would have been a good move to try harder to go get him.

And if Jerry thinks he might have a second chance to do something he wishes he'd done the first time...

THere is no doubt that mcfadden does not = Peterson. Not even close.

I would actually make comparisons to Bush then Peterson. I hope Jerry doesn't try to get him and mortgage the draft, but you never know with Jerry.

Is it just me, or did Romo and Owens both seem to be running quicker, crisper, ... their legs looked fresher.

I tell you one thing. I just hope that AD has a long and healthy career. I wanna see what he can do if he can stay healthy. Seems like a pretty good person and plays the game as hard as anyone out there.

Really..

Since when was Bush known to be able to run in-between tackles? Since when was Bush playing with a bunch of scrubs on his team like McFadden was?
