The Problem is Dallas isnt X's and O's it's Jimmy's and Joe's ... you can have all the offensive innovation in the world but if you dont have the players to execute then what is it? Mike McCarthy has done more with less consistently than any NFL coach .. he's that smart kid that just does dumb sht from time to time





He's absolutely right.

Of course you also have to add in the environment coaches have to coach in Dallas. An open door for the players to the owner, no authority to determine who plays and who sits and no command of your own coaching meetings or the locker room.

But his premise that it's the player not the coaches? Yes

And fans are stupid? Yes

during camp they didn't even want to showcase him as if he were something great to be displayed!

I'd bet Mike was huge in talking Jerry into cutting his pet Zeke two years ago. Then Jerry brings him back, because feelings.

Anyway, J Tuck is exactly right. Give Ben Johnson Cooper Rush, 2024 Zeke, Social Security Brandin Cooks, and rookies playing new positions on the OL and let's see how genius and "innovative" he is.

Ive been told that McCarthy doesn't use anyone right. He is the reason for Deuce Vaughn not being a 3 time NFL MVP and our WR's aren't making people for get about the early 90's Oilers

I have said this before!
Some blame the scheme, the coaching, the play. EVERYTHING but the players. Now certainly the former is critical...the bosses run the show (and they do have to deal with what very top management gives them , tis true).

But these guys have been doing this all their lives. Elite, best of the best. Living the dream...playing a game making more money than most people could ever dream. Even the minimum contracts are hard to match in the real world for most people.

Even a "bad" play call, they SHOULD know what to do. Like when our band makes a mistake...we know how to cover it up so few would even know.

The fun part? Watching the best go against the best. Like the old Cowboys/9ers, Cowboys/Steelers. Even Cowboys/Bills was pretty fun minus a blowout or two. (okay fine, that was fun too!)

2 things can be true at the same time.

Ownership/The GM are awful and haven’t attempted to put a legit Super Bowl contender on the field in a long time.

AND

McCarthy’s offense is about 15 years out of date and holds the players back.

Don’t get me wrong, of course the 1st problem is the much bigger issue, but it doesn’t make the 2nd problem not an issue.

Can you even imagine what those meeting are like where all the coaches are sitting around the conference table and Jerry, Stephen, and Jerry Jr are sitting there as well? Like what we saw with JG on the Netflix show? Jerry spewing off, “we’re starting Zeke right?”. Whole room goes silent…….
