Problem is finding a strong coach willing to work with this dysfunctional front office. A young inexperienced guy wont have the skins on the wall to command the jonses attention and the best coaches aren't leaving their jobs. If stephen can oust jerry (keep him quiet) and atleast unify the office they could turn things around with or without garret.

Yeah no real coach is coming to Jerry Land to deal with that. Just isn't going to happen. Jerry has Garrett under thumb, where he wants his coaches. ;)

Well in Garrett's defense......getting rid of Dez is consistent with his "process". Him having players like Dez on the team goes against what he has preached.....but we all know that if he had his say Dez probably wouldn't even be on this team to begin with.

There is no defense for Garrett... Just because he was a backup his whole career, he wants everyone else to be a no name? That is his process? He and Linehan, have had their chances. I best half the friction that formed between Romo and Garrett was Romo changing half the plays at the line in 2014. Because he knew how badly JG sucked as well.

What do you mean to be a no name? The Cowboys have names on their team?

Talking about garrett being a no name his whole career, so him wanting everyone to be equal no names as part of the process lol.

So the argument is that keeping Dez would have been better support for the process in Dallas?

It is further evidence that their is no process. I'm supposed to beleive that Alan Hurns has the same potential as Dez on a football field? We wait until mid-april to make this decision?

We haven’t even had the draft yet. And we made a run at Watkins in FA before signing Hurns and Thompson.

This is just you wanting to pretend something is the case because it makes you feel better about being disappointed about a football team.

With the release of Dez (agree or disagree), sane cowboy fans should be able to at least agree that Garret has no process and should probably retire the term from his vernacular. Fact is that there is no grand plan or football philosophy to buy into. Our defensive philosophy changes with the wind and coach du jour. The offensive philosophy of Jason Garret is stale, inflexible, and ridiculed by opposing defenses since at least 2008.

The entire organization is essentially managed by crisis and decisions made by factional tug-of-wars more akin to Game Of Thrones than an NFL football team.......which might explain why this team still moves tv ratings. Folks used to watch Dallas to marvel at the efficiency, innovation, and cleverness of coaching under Landry, and then the speed and ferocity under Jimmy Johnson. Now they watch to laugh, but its all money to the Jones boys. Respect and credibility are too high a price to pay b/c it would require them to retire to the owners suite.

Go Cowboys but to heck with the Jones boys and Garret.

The process has sucked every since its conception. Heh, someone said he needs a process to get rid of the old process, lol.

What is not to be disappointed in? Did we win something? Catch me up! lol

This isn't about one off season. Its about the entire clueless, meandering garret era.
