I have to agree with Buzzard Boy on this, Dallas has all the momentum. They are coming in winners and will have 50-60% of the stadium (based on ticket sales). If the game is close, Dallas won't have doubts, but the Lambs will. Dallas is the only team on the field with a playoff victory.

Not quite that simple. Keys to the game are to get Goff off his game, frustrate him and ball control. The Rams can light you beyond quickly. I see this game coming down to the first half. If we don't let the Rams get a jump on us, we are in it, to win. If they strike quick and early? It will be a long day. I see the Rams up 24-6 at the half or we are tied 10-10. Or we are tied 10-10 at half, that means we brought the right plan in and are executing it and will win the game.

24-6 to a cold playing team? Dallas has never given up 24 points in one half. This Defense is elite. Never going to happen.

our team believes they can win....any kind of way.
low scoring or shoot-out....come from behind....because they have.
the ups and downs this team has faced....to get where they are....has given them a confidence that by hook or crook...they will win.
backs to the wall.
no room for error.
nothing this season has been easy.
it won't be saturday night.
WE WILL BEAT THESE RAMS.
BELIEVE ME.

Came back 21 points against GB when Dak was a rookie!

Much as I may hate to think of 2007, it's like how Eli Manning went into Tampa Bay in the wild-card round, and his Giants got Eli his first playoff win, while the Cowboys rested for weeks and came out slow and rusty in the divisional round and lost to Eli, whose Giants were on a hot streak then. And back then, the Giants were 10-6 and the Cowboys 13-3. Dallas hadn't won a playoff game in a very long time.

So now, we see Dak, now with a playoff win under his belt, leading the 10-6 Cowboys into town against the rested and rusty 13-3 Rams, who haven't won a playoff game in a very long time......

How do they get 50 to 60% Cowboys fans based on sales. They don't know who is buying the tickets.
All they really know is what % of the capacity that is sold as season ticket holders. And how many open tickets are available to the public.

The rams will have a chip on their shoulders from reading that the cowboys have all the momentum coming into this game. Therefore the chip on your shoulders motivation might negate the cowboys momentum.

Then because half of their stadium is filled with cowboys fans, theyll feel like they are playing in an hostile environment which will psychologically provide them an edge.

Not wanting to be upset by the underdog cowboys gives them further motivation.

Now if it comes down to it, the rams might want this game more because they are playing in their home city and that home cooking might give them a slight edge and nobody wants to lose at home

:grin::grin::grin:

Also mcvay will not want to be out coached by Garrett because that would be an embarrassment so that would negate any peychological edge that Austin might have trying to show up his old team.

You forgot one.

Rams were one and done last year and don't want to repeat that. They don't want the narrative that they can't win in the playoffs

Good points now consider HC Garrett is a two time SB Champion and a Princeton graduate who's IQ is superior to McVay. Garrett played in the NFL where McVay didn't and can't lead his men from experience .

Remember, those who can perform do, those who can't teach. JG has both .

Haha! The team will probably be hung over from the party Friday night.
We've seen Garrett's focus and prep work for the biggest games. It isn't pretty and rubs off on the players.

With this defense..

nobody has run away from us except early in the year like the Titans.

Early in the game we will be the same old conservative clock eaters.

Then it will open up.

We will tire out their defense and force Goff to deal with the pass pressure.

Kris Richards needs to win this game for us.

Let's see if he has it in crunch time.

There was a reason he was fired in Seattle.

Let's hope it is not becuz his defense failed in the clutch in Seattle.

Although I suspect that was the reason.

Good points
Now consider this

McVay is a MUCH better HC and OC than Garrett

Pete needed a scape goat and chose Richard to save face. Look at Seattle's starting lineup on D each game. They lost some major players throughout the year.

I continue to maintain this outcome is binary...

Cowboys start slow. Rams offense scores early and often. Cowboys start to take risks and Donald and those Rams CBs make some big defensive plays. Rams win by at least 3 TDs.

Cowboys vs. Saints 2.0. Cowboys are physical out of the shoot. Zeke gets rolling early. Defense knocks Goff around. He wilts. LBs punish Rams skill guys. Gurley is contained. OL beats the Rams DL. Cowboys win a close game on the scoreboard (21-17 ish) but physically beat up the Rams.

I think we know what is going on by the end of the first quarter.

Yeah the psychology of the game going in goes out the window based on the first 15 minutes of play. To Garrett's credit he prepares guys to be their regardless of circumstances, which buffers them from 'circumstances' psychology.

on the contrary...I believe this will be our finest hour.
