Exactly!Build a team like the Niners and treat the QB like a RB and keep drafting them without giving them a second contract.
Draft a QB every three seasons and you always have a QB with a rookie contract.
Don't limit the value of a QB to only the bottom four rounds. In fact, most of them should come from the 2nd and 3rd rounds, occasionally a 1st rounder if warranted.
This results in a variety of valuable benefits from contract leverage to a stronger team through competition to a valuable trade commodity. The 'next' QB up should be young and talented enough to be a starter in this league.
By drafting a QB every three seasons the Cowboys will not be restricted by the demands of the starter nor the talent levels of free agents.
