Great post thanks. Roy's versatility and big plays can't be overlooked. He's solid across the board.

His mistakes are only frustrating because of how silly they are for a man as good as he is, he is a playmaker and isn't afraid of taking chances which helps him more than it embarasses him. I'm glad he's a Cowboy.

Dang 24 and 27 tackles for those guys, I guess that means their front 7 isn't stopping anyone

At some point, we're going to have to forget about last year (just like Bradie James) and realize that he's doing as good if not better than most safeties out there.

I'm willing to shut my mouth and let RW play this year in this new scheme. Roy was a play maker last night once Newman was on the field. He was up in the box chopping runners down, tackling guys who would catch short passes keeping them from going anywhere, while Hamlin was handling all the deep duties.

RW, you are on my good side for a while now. I challenge others to join me.

Roy has always been good. The problem is, he plays for the Cowboys. I watch Sean Taylor, Ed Reed, and these other guys give up just as many, and usually more TDs and big plays than Roy ever does. But they don't play for a team that gets scrutinized like the 'Boys. Besides, the media hype for Taylor started before he ever got drafted about how great at covering he is, and it's still going strong no matter how much he gets burned.

exactly. his failures to wrap up and make the tackle are enough to make me want to rip my hair out.

for all his faults though, hes been the guy who makes things happen. Every DB gets beat, its the good ones that make plays to even things out.

and I think sacks should be thrown up in there. Sanders has a few sacks to his credit.

That is a point most over look when they are critical of him.

It drives me crazy when I see him hit a guy and fail to wrap him up and make the tackle. What the hell is he thinking? He is so good but this is a major hole in his game that MUST be addressed immediately.

Roy, forget the Sports-Center hit and just make the friggin tackle already!

If Roy will just wrap up people a little more, he should be fine. These shoulder bounces drive me crazy.

I love Roy but that was a poor tackle on his part on the Chi. TE that helped set the Bears up for the TD. I expect better than that from Roy

Thank you.

Also, good players - great players even - make bad plays. They just don't make many of them, and they find a way to make up for their mistakes. I think it's silly when people act like some fans think Roy never makes a mistake, but I also think it's silly when some fans don't do anything but talk about the mistakes.

Cowboys fans should be glad to have Roy Williams on the team.

I so agree with this.

I'm waiting for the tide to turn on Ware. He didn't have any sacks until yesterday and you already had people saying "Where's Ware?"

There's stats, and there's our lying eyes. You do realize that the vast, vast majority of NFL GMs would take the other guys on that list (save for Taylor), right? Right. Enjoy the win, but don't try turning Roy into some sort of Sunday night hero--whose good plays were canceled out by the bad. Objectivity is not a dirty word.
