I'll give up Kelvin Joseph and Nashon Wright level talents for Carter no problem.
How about Benton and a top running back like Miller and a top tight end like Mayer. Your basically losing good players for a knucklehead,

It is probably just a smokescreen that Detroit is putting out… but yeah, if someone did do that, they ought to be beat down.
For some reason when I read that I think it’s actually about him doing good deeds on the low (which I’ve heard) like paying for lunches for some dude on the team for the season or something.

All that said, I think the kid has serious questions about his character. How he behaved regarding his involvement in the crash…showing up completely out of shape for his pro day and not being able to finish drills. This dude’s got all the hallmarks of guy that’s gonna continue making chronically bad decisions.

LOL. Yeah. Worked out well under Garrett. 10 years of RKG nonsense.

You need BAD GUYS. This isnt Badminton. If Jalen freaking Carter falls into the late teens and we arent running his card up. I will be LIVID
That makes me laugh so hard.

Yeah we need thugs and morons and crazies to win it all

I do. Do you?

Remember a guy by the name of Charles Haley? Put us over the top against San Fran back in the 90s? Was he a choir boy?

I remember the Garrett years and passing on players because they were not RKG. Some of those players have won superbowls with their respective teams. Garrett didnt want anyone on the team challenging him and it hamstrung this organization for years. A guy with Carter's talent. You dont pass on. Him and Gregory are apples and oranges.

How’d Pac-Man Jones and Greg Hardy work out for us?

Fair point. Carter is also much more talented than both of those guys though. I remember many here didn’t want Parsons because of “character concerns” the draft is a risk. Regardless of red flags. You can draft a talented kid whose talent doesn’t translate too.

I think what we’re hearing is just the tip of the iceberg with Carter; more will come out after the draft passes.

It’s telling when the Raiders have decided you’re not an option even for them.

Dan Campbell being so vague is a flag too imo.

Carter has all the talent to be an all-pro DT. Crazy that this offseason with some poor off the field choices may be tanking his stock

I could see him falling at least to round 3-4, depending on what the teams found out from interviewing him.

Then again, this is also a classic Jerry-2nd round pick.
He's got some serious issues if the Raiders are taking him off their board...

I get that he's a good player. I just smell some issues with his dedication and attitude, and I don't believe he'd be a good fit, likely for the same reason the Raiders believe that.

Also, no way I'd give up picks to move up to get him.

The Raiders don't want him because of what happened with Henry Rugs.

Haley had a chemical imbalance that was not found out until later. So he actually was not crazy.
You look at those we picked up because they were problems. Tell me how many Lombardi's did we win?

Talent is not everything; some incredibly talented players over the years were not worth what various teams suffered with them.

a thug is a thug; anyone wanting them is an idiot.

Now and then you get some strange types; sometimes they work out and sometimes they don't.

You look at the Raiders teams in the 70's who had the rep for being a bunch of animals and when you look closer that was greatly overblown.
