Seriously, I have contemplated the current, albeit very early, standings and I can't see any real contenders outside of the Rams. What say you?

I'm extraordinarily biased, but if there is a man in the NFL that can figure out a way to drop 40 on Wade Phillips' D, it's Andy Reid.

Don't discount Philly yet. They are still waking up from celebrating the entire off season. But right now the Rams are head and shoulders above everyone with that defense. Barring a lot of injuries, they should be super bowl favorites.

The AFC is still murky. I like KC but Andy Reid teams have a history of fading down the stretch. Maybe Mahomes is the difference but its only week 3. I still like Pittsburgh if they can get Bell on the field. ..............and here's my darkhorse........ The Cleveland Browns. They are LOADED with talent on both sides of the ball. If Mayfield continues to look as good as he did last thursday, they can beat anyone.

I tipped the browns to pick up 5 or 6 wins before it started. I still reckon that's about right. Give'm a couple of years though and they are definitely a force.

LA and Minnesota are SB or bust. Will be interesting to see which one (or both) fails.

I watched Mahomes throw 88 passes for over 800 yards of total of offense against OU, who they were overmatched by...........I wouldn't count against KC.

As an OU fan, I watched that game and cringed, often. But I was also convinced that Mahomes was the real deal, and hoped he'd be a Cowboy.

KC has absolutely NO, ZERO, NADA defense. That will bite them in the end (so to speak).

Vikings were the 1B choice for most before the Bills destroyed them.

I'd love to believe the Steelers are in the mix, but like KC (and to a lesser degree, the Saints), they have no defense and are unlikely to go deep in the playoffs. Panthers could be tough, but I dont see Cam putting together a SB run again.

Philly will get stronger as the year progresses and they get some injured players back, Minnesota will likely learn from their brain fart, but the Rams look the most solid right now.

Heard on NFLN this morning that the Rams had a 3 & out on the first drive of their first game and haven't had one since. That's pretty impressive.

This is the Rams year.

I think its in there best interest to move in from some of there stronger "personalities" after the season. But this year, Suh, Talib and Banks should push them over the top. They should get Talib back for the stretch run

Can't tell until after Thanksgiving.

I'm surprised the Vikes haven't shown better early. The Rams have a chance to put them in a real hole here tonight.

Eagles and Vikings
Saints

Rams do look like the class of the league right now.

They have drafted so many top draft picks that the team has to do better. They have drafted some great prospects and it seems like the Rams are much more talented than these other teams. Talent hoarding usually has good results and the Rams are showing it off.
