The real opportunity before us

Yes.
Taking the best player in the draft is a terrible idea.

If SD is smart they will take him so fast it will make you head spin. Franchise LT to protect your aging franchise QB and best player in the draft.

I would not be upset to take him, but I would sure like to see what people would offer for the opportunity, we may be offered a kings ransom that would make it very desirable.

I agree with this. Dallas isn't going to be a contender this year. They have a chance to load up on picks for this and next year's draft. They could build a decent team if they play their cards right.

Nope. Terrible idea.

The one positive you could have out of taking Tunsil is that you would probably be able to make a nice trade for either he or Smith later on. It's not how I would like to see it go but that is a possibility and in the mean time, you have a player you can use in the interim.

The Cowboys decision making should go....

1) Grab Ramsey if he is there and don't think twice.

2) If he's gone shop Tunsil.

3) If you can't find a trade partner take Bosa.

Can I ask an honest question? What is it about Ramsey that has everyone drooling? Why doesn't Claiborne, who has to be considered an absolute bust, given the position he was drafted, give people more pause about this latest "can't miss" DB? Is it his measurables, what? Why should I consider him so much better than Hargreaves, who looks like the human version of a blanket in every video I see?

If both Goff and Wentz are gone you take Zeke and don't look back.

I like Ramsey better, a little. I'd be happy with this too. Even if Ramsey is still there. He'd likely immediately improve our team more than anyone else in the draft.

For me it's that's he's a willing tackler and that he's an ELITE athlete. Competing in the decathlon in high school says a lot to me. Not many have the athletic ability to do that well.

That means he's an absolutely fierce competititor. To learn those skills and be good takes dedication and very elite athleticism.

I think Katlyn Jenner proved that.

Has to be measurables. Looking at on field play I don't see a huge difference between. Ramsey/hargreaves. That's why I think If you don't want a qb I say try to trade down. Very few players really seperate themselves from the 2nd/3rd players at their position. Quantity>quality for this draft.

I think Claiborne was never the sharpest knife in the drawer as matter of fact he may be a spoon, he was on the smalish side 5'11" 188lbs and injury prone and ran a 4.5 40.

Ramsey is a intelligent player, larger 6'1" 209lbs and ran a 4.41 who is a freak athlete that can play 2 positions.

If Dan is right I take him in a heartbeat.

COMPARES TO: Tyrann Mathieu, Arizona Cardinals - While some teams will like him better as a cornerback and others as a safety, like Mathieu, Ramsey is better categorized as a playmaking defensive back due to his rangy skill-set and versatility.

If we pass on every position we've missed on before.... Could we draft any position?

I also wouldn't hate trading down, picking Paxton Lynch and then grabbing Derrick Henry at RB with the second pick. As for CB? Meh...we always seem to crap out on CB when we draft them.
