parcells has already said that WAS NOT ROYS RESPONSIBILITY on the lj smith or the flea flicker.

Roy was getting underneath the flea flicker like he was supposed to

PAt was supposed to be behind it. HE WASNT.

and on the Lj smith catch that was PAT WATKINS responsibility.

Parcells has already made it clear. Pat watkins gave up three big plays yesterday that led to three touchdowns. two immdiate tds and one with a one yard run.

The defense played very well on the road. pat watkins of the defense did not.

Pat Watkins is directly responsible for 21 points given up....do the math and take away those scores and we win a tough football game on the road.

Seriously Hank Baskett? Our defense made him look like Jerry Rice.

We do that all the time, Matt Jones and those other no names from Jacksonville looked like Michael Irvin, Drew Person and Tony Hill combined.

It's time to call Junior Glymph to task. I mean, granted, he's not on the team anymore, but if he were, we would be better. I can't believe he cut himself.

We should have never let Shanle go.....teams just win with him in the lineup and the numbers don't lie. Yet another genius roster move by our front office.:banghead:

Obviously this guy has no clue.

Our defense was great yesterday except for 1 player. Nothing got exposed except for Pat Watkins.

If he makes those 2 plays then I guess our defense doesnt get "exposed" then does it.

I guess then we win the game because of our defense.

Dude you dont know what on earth you are talking about.

You didn't notice that the offense was terrible against Jacksonville?

We fell behind by 2 scores against them because of our soft secondary....a familar theme yesterday as well.

Are you Scott Shanles mom?

What on earth could Scott Shanle have done to stop those 2 deep touchdown passes? Please inform me.

Ayodele has been a very good player for us this year and going into yesterdays game lead the team in tackles. Our linebackers arent the problem.

"Hence" and "crux" in the same sentence.

I've got to admit, I didn't see that one coming.

Shanle wouldn't even be on the field.

Just repeating what the coach said.

Defense put mcnabb to 2 for 12 on third down. sacked 3 times. scored a touchdown.

if watkins plays those plays correctly yes we would of won. but that ISNT my point.

Sure we need more pressure. But if watkins doesnt make three big mistakes then you are right we wouldnt notice it. Watkins messed up. Parcells said so in his PC.

Thats all I need to know. The stats play out this fact. 3 bigp lays account for over half of the eagles total yards. all three plays were on ONE PLAYER.

Not the entire defense. We just need to keep bringing watkins along. I think he has the ability to be a good player. He just needs to keep working. My point is the defense played a good game despite watkins poor play.

We fell behind yesterday because of an interception and a muff by our punter.

Wait wasn't that Bledsoe's fault though? Because everything else is, especially him not being able to defend Hank Basket. :laugh1: :laugh2:

Good post.

Im like you with your stance on Watkins.

I dont know how the rest of the board is but Pat Watkins has shown me he can play in this league.

Yesterday he played like a Rookie and that was the 1st sign of it all year. Im rooting hard for this guy because he has all the abilities in the world.

The thing that hurts the most is he was right there in position to make a play and he didnt.

Lets go PAT!!!!

I thought you were just trying to create trouble and now it is confirmed. When Dallas has the ball in its hands, that is the offense, not the defense. McBriar and Bledsoe are not safeties and they are the ones most responisble for the Eagles jumping to the early lead.

it was his fault when he fumbled on the next posession after the punter did

Roy could've made a play. Wasn't his guy but he still could've made a play.

But you know who else could've made a play and was in waaaaaaaaaaaaay better position to do it? Pat Watkins.

Roy at least made an attempt and had he been in the same position Watkins was the ball probably would've been batted down.

Watkins was in such great position all he had to do is put his arm up but he didnt.

In any event, even we intercept the ball, it still goes back to the Eagles on the defensive holding call.

Exactly, the offense and special teams put us in the position where the defense had to play well to only spot them a 10 point lead as opposed to a 14 point lead. Was the defense perfect yesterday? Obviously not, but it played well enough to win if the offense had brought it home. Heck they scored 7 of our points.
