The real problem with Dallas is Romo

So, Romo not only is supposed to score points, which he did again today, he's supposed to play defense & keep the opponents from driving 80 yards for the go ahead TD...OKAAAYYYY. With as many threads as you've posted, I would think you had better football sense than this post indicates. Romo has thrown for more yards in his first 100 games than anyone...in history! You don't think having poor to mediocre defenses on this team are just a little responsible for his not being more successful?

Break it down and tell us what he's really done for this franchise. That's a cool fun fact/trivia question but it means nothing. He's not always at fault when we lose but he most def deserves some of the blame today. He flat out sucked for 3 quarters

You said the defense royally sucked. But you referred to the offense as being "not crisp". So it's obvious you are putting this one of the D. Don't backpedal nowo_O

I said Garrett cost us this game. Period

623 Total Net Yards by Detroit. 62 rushing yards by the Cowboys. He had NO help from the run game, even less from the defense. Not ONE Romo or Cowboy turnover to skew those numbers. I don't care if Romo had played like a man possessed, he can't play defense, dummy.

Romo didn't allow 80 yards in less than a minute, he didn't hold on 3rd down to stop the clock when we could have ran another 30+ seconds of game clock. This is a team game and in the end we couldn't pull it together to win. I'm moving on to next week.

I dont know what that had to do with your fun fact of Romos 100 games but here's the bottom line that you cant seem to understand. We lost because offense and defense sucked. Try to flip it and justify it any way you wish but Romo sucked until the 4th. The Defense sucked. The running game sucked. Why cant you admit that about Romo. Under 50% completion percentage. Is that Romo like? Yes we see the defensive numbers. We also see Romo missing targets. We see the Oline not making lanes. THEY ALL SUCKED AS UNITS. Its really that simple. Stop getting emotional and name calling over a game. What postion do you play? How much is Jerry paying you to produce internet rants. Calm down

Unbelievable! I wish Dallas would trade Romo already. He is rotting on this team. If you really think he's not throwing to guys because he is mad at them that is laughable. This offense has lacked on taking advantages of match ups. Vanilla offense!

Amen, my old friend.

Before I get started I'm a big Romo supporter and have liked Garrett for some things but not all.

While Romo is very good I think that he is a problem. If he gets mad at someone no longer does he throw their way. He will force things to his buddies but leave guys wide open and not throw it to them. When he is on he is great but why is it sometimes the offense doesn't wake up till it's too late? Why do we want to play it close all the time? Denver game we had to score points then we put up 48. Today Detroit scores to make it 3 points then we can't be stopped? I feel like the team would be better without Romo, he had won us many games don't get me wrong but things have to change and sometimes this team didn't respond to him. Dez gets in his face then boom we about TDs.

Also Garrett needs to go as well, I think he can be a good coach but not here.

Splitting up Witten and Romo could benefit this team. I see teams with less talent do better.

Discuss... I'm not saying these things because we lost it's a combination since Romo and Garrett have been here.

Blah blah, same old thing. Even when Romo has nothing to do with giving up so many yards, it's somehow his fault. Play it safe, air it out. It doesn't matter. How about that awesome job the $50 million dollar CB Carr did on Megatron? How about blaming him for allowing 14 catches.

And then proceeded to surrender 24 points in the 4th quarter. Stafford might have gone for over 600 without the turnovers.

We wouldn't have been in the game if it weren't for those turnovers. What did our offense do for most of the game? Nothing.

hahahahaha I needed the laugh, this is a 5 team win at best without Romo, but I do agree with you on Garrett, he needs to GO ASAP.

Offense didn't do squat for 3 quarters. There was plenty of blame to go around on.. from the offense, to the defense, to the coaching staff. If you are on this thread and think Romo played zero role in this loss.. you are sadly mistaken. Be honest with yourself.

I tune out everything out about Romo offensive stats, who likes him, who doesn't. The bottom line is that two things have remained constant thru this disastrous period: Tony Romo & Jerry Jones. Its really not worth getting frustrated over because neither is leaving anytime soon. But one day in our lifetime this team will be refreshing to watch again, things will make sense again and its story will be worth discussing again. That day can't come fast enough for many of us.

Tony's only been here for about half the "disastrous period". Let's not forget the awful years like the Campo/Quincy Carter years.
