No, the idea of signing another top level WR (to compliment the top paid CeeDee) and then having TMAC as BPA.... isn't the way to proceed....when we aren't competing in 2025 (and have holes to fill).

You're confusing yourself, we did draft BPA.
This draft is nothing like either 2023 (which for Jerry was All-In.... resolving the issues of CB = Gilmore, and WR2 = Cooks and then drafting for need = run defense= Mazi).
2024, again need based, Tyron and Biadascz's replacements.
2025, they did the right thing.....our Board indicated TMAC was the pick.

Jerry's cheap, wow, stop the press, but signing another expensive piece to accompany the $90m+ on QB and a WR2, when we"ve probably got a couple of WR's high on your board isn't going to happen (ESPECIALLY THIS YEAR, WHERE WE'VE ALL BAR MAILED IN SEASON).

I absolutely disagree, you don't go into the season punting when u have the highest paid QB in the league. You do say WR2, but most of the really good teams in the league (except KC and Buffalo of course), have 2 WR1s. Heck Philly has 2 of them they barely use. We definitely have Dak who needs 2 WR1s.

I've been listening to drafts for longer than I want to admit right now, Jerry has always said the same thing. You seem to believe him, when he says the same exact thing about every player he has ever drafted. A draft is random and unpredictable, he was overjoyed to get Greg Ellis over Randy Moss at that time. They asked Dak about something Jerry said, he said I don't listen to all that.

To combine them, football is a year to year thing. Its still $38 million, but it will change. I not going to predict the future, but I know right now we have plenty of space to have at least signed some of the better WRs before the draft instead of trading away more picks.

We had as good of draft as we can hope for in our circumstances.

The problem isn't the draft, its our owner being cheap once again in FA. Last year, he was too cheap or we would have a RB. This year, he was too cheap or we would have a WR. In consecutive years, he has destroyed this team as those positions would not be a concern if he had done anything in FA. We need to stop fighting each other as much and know Jerry is the cause for everything. His son is just as bad as him, just a worse snake oil salesman.

We would have needed over 20 picks to actually fill most our holes, and that might've just helped. This team will not win anything as long as they are this cheap and will not be active management at all. Its crazy to try to trade instead of getting a player in free agency, only desperate teams do that.

Actually getting all those OL in FA only to draft one in the first round. Jerry was a guard himself, he must have dreams at night about them. A balanced roster with an aggressive GM wins championships. We definitely don't have that.

Last years FA RB was pretty good and not outrageous price. That was sure the time to fix it

Jerry will promise something, and either not do it or do not enough. I've seen all 30 years of it.

If he makes a trade it will cost him draft picks, which would dig into his build through the draft policy as he would be losing picks. You only make a trade if you think you can win it all. There is no trade that would make us win a ring this year, so there is no reason to make one.....unless you think we can get Mahomes

But if he actually wanted FAs that were not JAGs, he wouldn't give up any picks.....but he will have to pay money like he did 30 years ago. Heck we would have DHenry right now and not be worried about RB. Now he is too cheap and lazy to do that at the appropriate time for the team. I think he is so out of touch that it will get worse. He's not trying to win, and I believe that has everything to do with his cheap idiot son who is only worried about his inheritance instead of winning.

Bottomline, Jerry wants to win it his way, and now thats by paying Dak the most money in history, CD, and Micah. Everyone else he wants to give a bag of chips and dip with a minimum contract and they better enjoy it.

Or what if mahfa and blue turn into I don't know let's just use hypotheticals because this has happened terrell Davis under drafted lots of undrafted free agents that turned out to be pretty damn good guys got the physicality we need he is really close to Martinez he's got little Cameron Scattaboo in him and then you add in lightning Blue who's got a lot of Tony Pollard in him but really he's built and could be a Jamir Gibbs without the fumbling problems and then you add in the competition from Williams and Sanders and you're saying there's nothing at running back?

OH by the way how'd that workout for Derek Henry and the Ravens oh that's right they finished a game less than a year before they didn't even make it back to the championship game have their workout for the Giants and Saquan Barkley that's right it didn't he had to go to a loaded team for it to work it wasn't just the running back it wasn't just the offensive line it wasn't just the quarterback or the two great wide receivers or the defensive unit which was top notch couldn't have been all that together could it?

How did one of the best running backs in the history of football never get anything done in the playoffs never did anything great but he's in the Hall of Fame right is that the individual he was great that would be Barry Sanders but he didn't help Detroit to climb any big heights they did nothing.

Shall I go on I mean a lot of these running backs moved around in Saquan Barkley's the only one who made a big difference last year but he came on to a team that was actually running back away but I'm betting they could have won the Super Bowl without him could they have gotten there I don't know he had a great season but let's not act like one special running back like say we picked up Derek Henry was going to change what happened last year or what could happen this year why don't we let this roster get complete..

I find it also curious to how the Raiders didn't do anything with Josh Jacobs but when he left it went somewhere else you guys beg for him but did he change the Packers or wherever he went but also you look at the Rakers now pick up AJ1 of the best running backs in the league you think they're going to the Super Bowl because of that pick?

This is about assembling a team finding a culture and an identity shift and that's what they're trying to do with the offensive line looking like the main focus along with the scheme coaches are going to actually literally commit to the run not lie about it like Mike Mccarthy so I just want to make sure I understand where your heads at because I get it I was disappointed too but when you look at the big picture they got plenty of guys now on this roster at running back and offensive line to create a very good run game now it's up to them the coaches let's build the scheme pick the best players cut the rest and let's move on..
As far as wide receiver goes yes they're gonna have to get someone apparently that plan in the draft didn't work and there's guys out there like Keenan Allen and Amari Cooper that can make a trade for a guy like Pickens there's gonna be play teams right now that they're looking at what they did in a draft and they're gonna have too many players at wide receiver and they're gonna want to make a move.

And that's your opinion my opinion is they've already using and running back by committee made an NFC championship game and a Super Bowl both without Purdy using a guy like Garoppolo and using a running back by committee they did not do anything more with McCaffrey than they did without him.. In what world do you live in that you didn't notice that Christian mccaffrey no matter how good a year he had and let's say what a Super Bowl the 49ers the last decade have made Super Bowls and lost them without him they've made Super Bowls without him they made championship games without him do you not understand that derek Henry did not improve the Ravens I don't care how good he played I don't care what his stats are they did not make it to the promised land they would have had to win a Super Bowl in order to make that make sense that you think running backs change destinies they do they have to be put in a perfect opportunity and sayQuan Barkley got put in one yes he's really good..

Somehow that free agent move was up big time everyone's like man the Cowboys should do that to do what they made a parallel move at one position they didn't get better they each got tired of their own running backs and trade it out.. I mean sure Sam Darnold looked pretty good with Aaron Jones back there but did they do anything big I would have to say no I don't follow the Vikings but I don't believe they got to a championship game or a Super Bowl so how did those moves help how did those off season moves of switching running backs help there's only one in the Barkley but that whole team was loaded, Bartley also got lucky he got on a team where he didn't have to be the everything..

Isn't this the same debate and argument how did Nick Foles win the Super Bowl now you're saying Jalen hurts is better how is he better didn't he go on a run the same way Jalen Hurst did he won a Super Bowl with a loaded team I mean I'm not trying to be difficult here but I see things as a big picture a full perspective it's not one player going to change anything lots of big moves all around the league have been made for wide receivers and pretty much running backs everyone it didn't change the history of those teams in most cases I mean tell me tell me how Aaron Rodgers and Devante Adams changed the jets they had three good running backs that year that would be last year right had they do?

He didn't and you seem to be talking to yourself CMC did not help the 49ers get any further than they've been before they've lost Super Bowls without him they've been to NFC championship games without him he was brought there to win a championship and he didn't then they paid him $38 million over two years to then be hurt all last year sounds like a bad investment to me..

I think you mistook what I saying
McCaffery made a difference ONE year
They made it to the superbowl and lost
Mason had a great year replaying him but the were mediocre at best

I’m actually optimistic for the first time in a long time
Love the coaching changes
Love the direction they took in the draft
Sure I wanted a top WR and a top rated RB
Never thought they would go with a Guard since Hoffman and Bass played very good last year but what I did see was high character players that love the game
Team captains in college

I think we will start out slow , especially on defense since this is the 3rd scheme in 3 years
But I think thatt try by the end of the year we could be the Team no one what’s to play

All I am saying is if you have a great running back it makes your QB better
Hurts was ok until he got Barkley
The were screaming how great Purdy was when he had CMC until he got hurt
