The real reason BP went with Romo - IMHO

is that he was embarrased in front of his old team. Remember he is a Giant at heart and playing against your old team is one thing but not competing is another. He has obviously been thinking this since the Philly game (remember he said something in his press conference that made it sound like he was thinking Bledsoe couldn't get it done) but didn't want to yank his 14 year vet.

I think if this had been Carolina he wouldn't have made the move during the game. But this is in front of his stage, the Giant fans and media were watching. He couldn't bear stinking without some hope of winning and he obviously did not feel that the 12-7 score was indicative of how the game was going at the half.

Just my thought on why. I am like many others who saw a young guy, making young guy mistakes, but one that has definate potential upside. The whole offense got involved for the first time all year. There is hope!

Well it was clear that the score did not describe how we were getting schooled on D. We could not stop the run and for a 3-4 that is the greatest failure of all.

The turnover---right before half is what pushed him over the top, stated something to the effect in post game interviews

For Bledsoe to turn in over there, with potential lead recaptured right before halftime after playing soooooo poorly was just to much.

appreared the Giants secondary was jumping routes all nite.....must see zero double moves by receivers..............likely because QB has zero time for that type of pattern to develop

I think he did it to send Bledsoe a message about the INTs in the red zone. If he goes back to Bledsoe, (yeah, big IF) he will either protect the ball or be benched. Down 5 is an awfully short leash.

I agree completely .. I think the turnover near the end of the first half ticked off Parcells and he wanted to let Bledsoe know that he better start looking at players not named Terry Glenn.

BP pulled Bledsoe because he said he would, basically. He said we couldn't continue to make dumb mistakes and we did. Poised to take a lead, and ALL the momentum, and we throw a telegraphed pass to the wrong side. He had seen enough and decided to roll the dice with Romo and see what he has under real condiditons. Romo also made some dumb mistakes but I am hoping this was due to being thrust in and trying to make something happen. If that kind of play continues after a full week of 1st team reps then we are really boned for 2006 and need to draft a QB in 2007. Here's to hoping that doesn't have to happen and we can draft some o-linemen earlier than the 7th round.

Exactlomundo. Drew improvised one time too many, and Bill pulled him. His post game said it all. Ive never seen BP seem so apologetic to all, fans, etc. following a loss. He's got be a very unhappy man right now.
