Let's look at it:

Current record: 7-4

Giants-- Come on, we are going to POUND them after the loss we just had yesterday. Plus, **The return of Crayton and Henry**. If we beat the Giants we will hold the tie breakers and all we have to do is match their record and we're the East champs and assured of at least 1 home playoff game. Furthermore, IF the Giants lose to Seattle Sunday then the Broncos loss was a wash and we're at the same spot we were before this week. Tied for first and NOW playing them to take a full one game lead and sweep the tie breakers.
Result: WIN: 8-4

Chiefs-- We're at home and they are NOT the same caliber team as Denver. We were one Billy Cundiff 33 yard FG away from winning that game.
No Priest Holmes and Trent Green will not light up OUR defense. Bledsoe and the Offense will move the ball on their D. We beat KC in this game.
Result: WIN: 9-4

Commanders-- The Commanders are in their typical decline now. They play San Diego Sunday and WILL lose that game. They are no longer a playoff threat to us. Some might say this could be a trap game on the road but there is NO WAY we do not beat the Commanders. We are playing better football now than we were in our first match up and everyone in the zone knows that we have MAJOR payback to dish out to the Deadskins in 3 weeks.
Result: WIN: 10-4

Panthers-- This is the one game left that I view as a good chance we could lose. I know we CAN beat these guys but if my prediction of 3 straight wins does happen, we will be due for a loss and of the last 2 teams we play I see this game being the one that could bite us. I will call this a loss BUT this is a definite potential win.
Result: LOSS: 10-5

Rams-- We end the season at home on ESPN against the Rams. The rams will be out of playoff contention and looking to play spoiler to the Cowboys. They have legit WR's but we should have our arsenal of Glenn/Henry/Newman to deal with them. Our division championship could be riding on the game and whether it is or not, No way Parcells wants us heading into the playoffs after a loss. I see this game as a "must win" in the minds of the team and coaches and they want their confidence to be high going into their playoff week. IF they do lose to the Panthers, they will be ready to dish out some frustration on the Rams but whether they lose to the Panthers or not, This game will be at home with a rowdy stadium and beating the Rams will serve as our springboard to the playoffs.
Result: WIN:

Final Regular Season Record: 11-5

2005 NFC East Champs

Guaranteed at LEAST 1 home playoff game to start our 3 game mission to SB forty.....

***PLAYOFFS***

Game 1 against: ???? (To be continued)

Stay Tuned..........

I thought Henry was supposed to be back in there for the Donky game.
I saw Crayton get a catch, but Henry could have helped out, if he had of played. Wonder what happened to him.

Crayton expects to be back for the Giant game so it was probably Copper you saw make his first NFL catch. Understand Henry hurt himself in Tuesday's practice which is way he didn't play. Hopefully he will also be back for Giants game.

You must have been watching the game in a parallel universe then, because Crayton was inactive.

Giants L, Chiefs L, Washington L (the kind of L that'll made Jerry Jones get very angry - remember him after the loss to San Fran in Campo's last season?), Carolina L (the kind of L that'll make the announcers state that the Cowboys have obviously packed it in for the season).

Finally against the Rams, Romo beats them 24-23 in an inconsequential game providing grist for the mill. Is he good enough? We should spend our 1st round draft pick on a QB, no we shouldn't because we have he who won that last game for us, etc. etc., ad nauseum.

You should edit that poll and include 12-4 because that is where my vote is going.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say 11-5. But I do have the right to change my mind if we lose again. ;)

I honestly believe this team can ratchet things up and make a serious push in December.

I said 11-5 from the beginning and it looks like that might come true.

Still, I'd rather be 12-4 and go into the payoffs on a five game winning streak. :)

After the Denver game, this team is ready for anything and anybody!

I do believe they could win all of the games and one of the good things I took away from this game is that Shanahan didn't really expose anything which is good when you're going against a superb gameplanner like he is.

That being said, this team is missing a few critical elements:

-place kicking

-effectiveness in the red zone (which I blame more on playcalling as they get very bland or too cute in the red zone)

-4 minute offense

That will cause them to have probably another game like the Denver/Washington/Seattle games and probably a game like the Oakland/Philly game where they keep it close and lose (albeit they beat Philly)

Rich..........

IF we beat New York, then I will say 11-5, as the only team left on our level is Carolina.

However, considering we wont play another team as good as Denver, I see no reason why we cant run the table.

We have a very good team folks but our destiny is in the hands of our OLINE. How they play will determine just how far we go.

I think we'll lose either against Wash. or Carolina and win the rest. Carolina is a very winnable game for us even though it's in their house, and with Wash.; we are a better team but strange things happen in games between the Cowboys and Commanders.

I wouldn't be surprised if we win out, assuming no more critical injuries and we get Crayton and Henry back. I will be very surprised if we lose more than two of the remaining games.

Mansta 54, you know whatsup. You seem to understand the game well. Our O-Line, IMO, is what prevents us from going to the SB, not the playoffs. I think we go at least 3-2 over this stretch. The NY game will be huge. If we beat them, and they lose to Seattle, we have sole position of the NFC East lead. It's going to be a tough game. So far, against "top" opponents, we are 1-2 this year. Seattle, Denver, and NY. Those are the teams I consider top, that we've played. You could make a case for SD as well. All of those 4 games have been down to the wire games..which proves that we can play with anyone. I consider Carolina and NY the biggest remaining games. I think we will win at NY, but going into Carolina could get tough.

We really match up well with everyone we've played. The O-Line however, for as big as they are, don't really overpower opponents, and they aren't very mobile either.

No doubt, we will win in NY. We will frustrate Manning into mistakes. You're right, we can play with anybody but just think how good we would be if if those fatboys upfront would show up...

That's right...NOT going to happen...In fact, it might be a blow out win for the Cowboys just from the emotion of the game.

In the minority I see, but I see no reason why we can't win them all here on out. Just as long as we don't let this last loss stick in our heads in a negative way but instead look at it as we stood toe2toe with the big boys of the NFL and nearly beat them.

We all know we should have won that game. The players all REALLY know it. Hopefully the bad taste of this lost will be the thing that propells us to the next "level".

This last game never should have made it to OT. Perhaps the team and coaching staff will take this as a cue to start figuring out how to put teams away earlier on (ala 90's Cowboys), then worrying about managing the clock.

We have the tools needed to put points on the board, fast. Lets do that then Bill can run all day long in the 2nd half to work that clock if he so wishes. I'm just not so sure that in today's parity(sp) driven NFL that this type of coaching philosphy is the best because teams are so much more equal nowadays then in years past. A faster separation is needed imo.

Plus our defense is good. If we start getting big leads early on they would be REALLY GOOD and flying all over the place! As of now they are forced into playing close games which make them have to worry about playing more flawless football rather then instinctive.
