this can't be said enough:
our o-line SUCKS! you can't avg. less than 3 ypc and win in the NFL. you can't have an imobile qb getting blindsided and win in the NFL.
add to that our continuing saga of poor fg kicking and we aren't going far.
i'm sorry but i've been a fan for 40 yrs. and i just can't see us better that 10-6.

Ahh, 10-6 is pretty good considering we were 6-10 last yr. 10-6 should also put us into post season...

i should say 10-6 at best, wildcard, lose in 1st round. i don't care about just squeezing into the playoffs, if we don't win at least one then i'll be disappointed.
i'm tired of "building on next year" year after year.

Noone should be worried about Carolina. They're soft, and their run game is weak. Let Steve Smith get his, and control the rest of the team, and "The Great Delhomme" will make enough mistakes to give us the game. Our toughest remaining game is our next one. We beat the Giants, we run the table. It's that simple.

I don't know if they AREN'T Cowboys fans, but they're extremely pessimistic. Beat NY, win out. (That being said, we keep finding ways to lose games, so I bet we drop 1. Stupid kickers....)

the mere return of Anthony Henry and patrick Crayton will improve the Cowboys significantly. i think they are fixing to go on a tear.

so i'm sticking with my preseason prediction of 11-5.

I can see the Cowboys winning ALL of these games, BUT I can also see them losing 4 or even ALL of these games as well. It can go either way - if it goes well, then we should be 11-5, win the division and get a home game in the first round of the playoffs. If it goes bad, then we either don't make the playoffs or somehow sneak into a Wild-Card spot - this could happen, especially if the Cowboys continue playing inconsistantly and not finishing off games.

We HAVE to win this game against the Giants, and then we HAVE to beat the Skins. If that happens, then we SHOULD be able to win the division. Of course, it would be great if the Cowboys can win at least one more of the other 3 games to solidfy the Division.

GO COWBOYS!!!

Don't expect Henry to last too long though. A slight tear in the goin is terrible. It will never heal during the season and he will continue to aggravate it each time he tries to play on it. High ankle sprains and Groin injuries are some of the worst to get. It raelly takes the off season for them to heal. Thats why I'm glad we have Glenn, he's quality on that corner. I'm scared to death of Reeve's though..

I stated a month ago that this team would go 11-5. I still believe it.

Heck yes we are, we're a kicker away from being 10-1 or 9-2. It's time to support the team in this streatch run. Not nit-pick its soft-spots. Dang, we've waited 5-6 years for a December that really means something, and people still cry like little girls JUST to be heard. :bang2:

I had said 12-4 before the season and was mocked. I still think we'll get close. I can see us losing next week and running the remaining 4 games for an 11-5 record. If we can win next week we'll be in excellent shape.

My concern is we seem to have had a hard time with big RBs and KC, Carolina, and St. Louis all have big, physical runners.

I think its just the opposite, we handle the bigger slower RB's better then the smaller faster ones. Our D is fast and keep those bigger backs incheck. Dayne and Anderson didn't hurt us much except in the OT. Tiki scares me a lil bit but I still see us winning this game.

The only teams to run on us were San Francisco, Oakland, and Denver - all using big, plodding runners. Barlow had 65 yards on 12 carries. LaMont Jordan had 126 yards on 26 carries. We had a good effort vs Denver aside from that last 55 yd run in OT, but Mike Anderson and Ron Dayne had 129 yards on 18 carries.

Meanwhile, we basically shut down LT (72 yards on 19 carries), Portis (52 on 17), Westbrook (12 on 6), Tiki (64 on 14), Alexander (61 on 22), and Kevin Jones (29 on 12).

Westbrook the second time (86 on 16) was the only juke back to do anything, but even that was minor.
