Truth be told IMVHO, I think Jerry loves Romo and will not allow any real competition as long as he thinks
Romo is the one answer to get to another SB. You can tell from his conversations and media spiels that he
thinks Romo is the man and that man will stay in complete control up until he decides to retire. In many ways,
Jerry is keeping Romo in the driver's seat much like he did Aikman back in the day. They will begin looking
for a real QB once Romo hangs up the cleats not before. Now they have had little success finding new QB's as
we all know so that may take several years more to find pay dirt.

Why does Wade Wilson still have a job again?

Very easy...Romo likes Wade because Wade can't actually develop a QB and Romo does not really
want competition. What Romo wants, Romo gets... Remember Romo friendly???

Jerry will do anything and everything to keep Romo happy guys!

TO ME and I know I keep saying that, but we never got the chance to see if we still had that dynamic run game WITH ROMO because the game plan was to pass heavily. Randle had a decent game week 1 but only got 16 carries. It was 2013 all over when Murray was getting 15 carries a game at 4 a pop and ppl kept saying the run game wasn't producing yet he was a pro bowler. I don't disagree, but how do we know the run game couldn't have been just as dynamic as 2014 when Randle played well game 1 but didn't get more Murray like carries and then passing 25 times the first half game 2? Miami was the closest this team looked to 2014 and even with 2 fumbduck Ints by Romo, we still dominated by simply running. I wish we had a do over!

I see your point, but the bottom line is Joe wasn't as good as Murray. Not even close. So they went back to what they both (Linny and JG) know what to do, throw the ball.

Most NFL teams are made up of spit and not cider as you like to put it.

That's what happens when you have a bunch of 20 year olds making millions.

All of this locker room stuff is just entertainment driven.

The Cowboys have a team that works very hard. I don't question the effort these guys put in and I don't see them as a team that is distracted by anything other than their own success.

What I see is a team that is completely Romo dependent and has coaches that don't maximize their talent and really don't offer anything on gameday.

Amen brother!

Once Romo went down, an adjustment of some sort was required in philosophy but it was process as usual. Sad to say but you just can't plug and play anyone into a position being played (by Romo) at a high level for so long.

The team as a whole, not just the coaches, failed to adapt to the loss of one of their best players. A failed season is on all of them and their lack of backup process.

Nope. The Cowboys were on the cusp of beating Atlanta, New Orleans, Seattle, New York, Philadelphia, and Tampa. They were plenty "coached up", but they were just too limited at quarterback to beat the superior quarterbacks on most of those teams.

There's a disconnect among the players right now, mostly because of losing, but partly because of the mix. It needs to be tweaked to fix the latter.

Yet one thing became apparent in all of those almosts. They were going to lose. The offensive adjustments are non existent. Barely any movement, play action, and you can guarantee that 9-10 times they're running on first down. That might work with a top 10 QB who is set up with a 2nd and 13, but not a second stringer. The scheme sucks, and is only successful because of Romos ability to read a defense. Interesting enough, Rob Ryan made a statement saying the only way to beat Romo is to keep him guessing, and that's exactly what Carolina did. Our offensive coordinating has stunk here for over a decade.

And those pick plays that Seattle used in crucial situations to get guys wide open.. Actual plays.

Instead we rely on Romo or Dez to just out athlete the other team in critical situations.

Seriously! Why are we the only team not exploiting this? It is N.E.'s bread and butter.
