The Cowboys don't need starters other than at the safety position. They already have a team that is good enough to win the SB. They need proven talent as backup they have done that with the pickup of Kitna and Brooking.

I like both deals. Kitna is better than Johnson/Boller or Grossman. Brooking came cheap and he knows Wade's system, is bigger and seems to be a leader. We will still draft a ILB or maybe two.

Next move is to get a SS. Any out there that have played for Wade?

I agree. Good stuff thus far. The draft should be FUN.

not to mention the locker room got a lot healthier:star:

Looks like we'll loose Canty,so I'm worried about that DE spot.

not sure I agree...but I'm desperate enough to still have hope. Let me ask a positive question: who is the brain(s) behind our draft now with Ireland gone? Last year's draft was outstanding IMO.........but I'm just not that up on it....

Good moves today.

We dont need more "star players", we have enough of those already.

Thanks Silver....very good draft last year. Can't believe we're only about 7 weeks away from this year's version.

Good point, what we now need is role players and the draft.

We don't need any big splashes. We need some solid, mid level players whose contracts are not exaggerated.

Lets revisit this thread after we see what Brookings has in the tank.

Awful pickup.

Good summary of the day. Additionally we created more salary cap space.

If Brooking is here to start than we are skewed!!!

I would of rather had Boller taking into consideration the tension between James and Kitna.

Hopefully we can pick up Springs..

lets reserve our criticisms until we see what Brooking has in the tank......

Tom Ciscowski replaced Jeff Ireland....he's just as good IMO.

Why do you think he's just as good? We worked off Ireland's playbook last year and it was outstanding. Ciscowski......?

Ireland was gone before the major draft preparations were made. Ciskowski's been a major player since Lacewell was fired which coincidentally was when they started drafting well.

No need too. I watch alot of falcons games, and the guys is the laughing stock on that Defense.

I hate to be the negative nellie. I'm just telling you for two years, my brother and I would sit and watch him play and just laugh, laugh laugh.

Now I'm going to cry, cry, cry.
