I could block better than JJ, it's not his strength trust me.....we need a hard nosed gritty blocker in the running game.......

MB3 is the man for the job! You can choose to accept it or keep believing that JJ is going to develop into an elite back.

Parcells does not want an elite back, he has almost always been a RB by committee coach, and that is what he is setting up now...of course if you knew about more than Bledsoe's inseam measurements you'd know that.

i don't want to agree with nors here but you can never have too many running backs. see denver for reference.

Bledsoe4MVP == Nors.

Julius Jones has had some of the best rushing performances in Cowboys history. You don't throw that all away because of impatience. If this was the norm Michael Irvin would have been traded away before the 1990 season.

Running backs in this offense are dump-off receivers, not designated targets. Both backs averaged nearly the same YPC-- it's the same as when they ran the ball both averaged 3.9 yards per carry. MB3 gains more steady yards while JJ busts the big gainers. Both can pass block-- MB3 is slighty better. MB3 can catch better but JJ can break bigger gains.

I can't wait to see what JJ can do with more consistent blocking up front. Hopefully the draft will help bolster the OL.

That's why he drafted Curtis Martin in New England and then traded for him when he was with the jets right?

How about Otis Anderson (former superbowl mvp) way back with the giants ?

Parcells is far from a running back commitee coach, he's looking for a bonafide leader and somebody to get the tough yards....not an injury prone prospect that won't ever live up to the hype.

If you are going to come at me with personal attacks and weak arguments zebra at least check the facts jack!!!

In 2004 he had a great game against a week seahawks defense....last year he caught the panthers off guard because they gameplanned to shut down bledsoe and the passing game becaue they knew we were one dimensional.

He's a fraud in terms of superstar status....other than those 2 sporadic performances he has done nothing impressive really......We need a complete back that can run, block and catch.....MB3 is capable of getting the big gainers, he hasn't even started a full season or played as long as JJ...the sky is the limit with this kid and we can't let him rot on the bench behind a guy who keeps getting injured!!!!

Nicely said. Parcells has indicated though that if he had a choice he would not wear out a running back like he did Joe Morris. With BP the bottom line is trust. He trusts JJ and MB3 because they take care of the football, are versatile enough, and are productive. Tyson Thompson got on his crap list as a running back because of his fumbles while protecting the lead vs. Philadelphia.

JJ is a little China doll back there....very, very, fragile. Sounds like you wish you had Clinton Portis to me..."a complete back that can run, block, and catch". Still room over here for you on the Commanders bandwagon Bledsoe4MVP. CP is a beast...makes JJ look like a little boy.:D

Don't let your own frustration make you judge too hastily. I'll admit to being guilty in this regard myself with Kevin Burnett. You've let your emotions cloud your judgement. Jones also rushed for 149 yards against the Giants and 150+ yards against the Bears in 2004. He still had multiple games close to 100 yards rushing in 2005 despite his sophomore jinx. JJ outperformed LT in San Diego and was a bogus holding call away from a 120 yard game.

The guy is money when he has any kind of blocking. MB3 can squirt and slide for inside yards that would be tough for most backs, but he hasn't proven he can take the pounding of a full season-- or even half a season. Realize he also started the season injured-- so he's not the durable cure-all one may be led to believe.

Thanks for the offer troll, but i have no interest in your deadskins except beating them twice this season! :D

I agree though, Portis is a beast and I wish we had a durable back like him that can take a beating and rack up the yards! I remember a few years ago I predicted that the portis/bailey trade would benefit washington more than it would denver...and sadly it did.

I still kinda wish we would have pursued edgerin james....arizona is going to be a tough team this year if the offensive line improves!

I'm tired of all this "This weakness on the team is bringing my man Bledsoe down" You can't start a thread without throwing Brokeback Bledsoe in there somewhere.

I don't post often but every thread I read you have to come in and throw Bledso-so in there somewhere.

Try posting something without Him, it's really not that hard.

Julius Jones has been hampered by injuries and lack of quality blocking yet he has been amongst the top 10 backs all-time in productivity over his first 20 or so games started. It is way too early to give up on him because of a few freak injuries - his body has little wear on it and he has had no serious injuries. He demonstrates great heart, speed and explosive cutting ability. You are not going to find anyone better than him in the second round.

Our best bet is to hold onto him and hope he realizes his potential with an OL that now better suits his running style. Having TO and Glenn at WR should open things up considerably for him this year.

I am very excited to see how he does.

Don't let your hate cloud your thoughts my man! Trading JJ has nothing to do with Bledsoe....it don't matter who is playing QB, we need protection out of the backfield to pick up the blitz! And you can't send a boy to do a mans job!

We could try to package JJ and Henson and move up to draft Lendale White....I watched a lot of him at USC and the kid is going to be a superstar....I might be going out on a limb, but he could develop into a better overall back in the NFL than his counterpart Reggie Bush when it's all said and done!

We could start MB3 and bring Lendale White along gradually....can you imagine how explosive our offense would be then!!

I've got a really, really, really hard time believing that AZ is going to be any good, any year...you guys remember we're talking about the same AZ that used to be in the NFC East...the laughing stock of the league. Edge is one hell of a RB though, I can't believe the Colts let him go...I see them suffering for it. He was pretty much their only physical presence on offense.

And JJ is a heck of a blocker....another point nullified.

His blocking skills leave much to be desired trust me....I've analyzed game film the last few years and he doesn't have the strengh to take on linebackers and defensive ends like other elite backs do.

He's a liability on the field during the passing game.....whether you want to acknowledge or not.

JJ is 2 years old in the league and Portis is obviosly more talented, but also has more experience...Give the guy a break...
