Despite popular opinion, Murray did have a hand in the dominant run game of last year. He was outstanding in turning negative runs into positive ones, and was just a fantastic chain mover. His tough style set the tone in many games.

We should be alright because the OL is really, really good (albeit a bit overhyped by some) but the ball carrier does matter. Hopefully the guys we have prove the FO right.

I don't think they are overhyped at all. They were great in the run game last year and according to most, they have plenty of room to improve. Most in the protection but in the run blocking too. This line is gonna be special.

All of Randles runs from last year.

Supposedly looking bigger and more nimble this year according to some reports.

We'll be fine, just cross your fingers that Randle (who never gets hurt) doesn't get hurt.

I think we will see Randle and DMC or whoever have some very good games....racking up yards and scores, etc etc.

However;

We need the running game to be dominant. Game in and Game out. Not just "Okay"...
Thats how we won games last year. The Dominant running game......I am not saying we cant win any other way, but we won more regular season games last year, because of a Dominant Running Game.

Will we win more battles against the defense , when everybody knows we are going to run the ball? Can we pick up 3 yards when it counts? When the game is on the line? Or we will lose those battles more often then not, and inch back towards the passing game, relying on Romo more and more down the stretch? Not trusting anybody at the RB position for those plays? Will Romo call his his own number when he audibles? I am not saying Romo cant handle it, just , over the period of 16 games, I want Romo as fresh as he can be down the stretch....

Demarco Murray was are rally point, are identity last year. Obviously, thats going to change...There is more to all this, then just numbers.

It doesn't matter one way or another to me. Just get the Ws when they count.

I think we "needed" the run game to be dominant last season because the defense was still hovering around below average. We needed to hide the defense as much as possible. This season, with an improved pass rush and Lee returning, we can be just as successful with a "good" running game in 2015. Especially considering the continued development of TWill, Beasely, and hopefully Escobar & Dunbar.

Yeah, that's a strong argument. And I am hoping that is the case......I think that will be the case. Maybe not right off the bat, but when Kracken gets some games in, and DLAW continues to progress, and the rookies get affiliated and show they can hold their own.....I am looking for the D to come up big the second half of the season.

With NY and Philly right out the gate, its going to be interesting.

I have to say that although I was initially bummed about having to play NY and Philly this early and without Hardy & McClain, I now think that it would be to our benefit to get their games over with earlier in the season (even without those 2 players).

I think NY and Philly tend to be particularly different teams in the 1st and 2nd halves of the season... they both seem to stumble out of the gate (not all the time however) and get hot as season goes on. Not sure why the schedule-makers did things this way, since you can almost always count on an Eagles and/or Giants game at the end of the season... but I think it's going to be a good thing for us.

I also think it works in our favor. The Eagles re-arranged so many chairs on deck that i see a very good chance of some big miscommunications. It's going to take a bit fir that team to gain some cohesion. Two new CB's, a new MLB, a new QB playing with inexperienced (and not very talented) receivers. I think they're going to look pretry ugly out the gate.

The Giants lost their LT already and have had to shuffle the OL around. They have a great WR core, but they are going to have some trouble with assignments on that OL in a group that was pretty mediocre to begin with.

Yeah, they have their issues too, especially Philly.. I think NY is going to be the team that challenges us this year for the NFCE. Coughlin and Eli's last hooorah, got embarrassed last year , etc etc....

That still doesn't give me confidence in our D. I'm not sold yet on how much the D will improve.
