The score was not indicative of how bad they were dominated

Our coverage scheme was horrible. That bothered me the most.
This was the stupid part.
Why are we playing soft against a young QB who hasn't shown he can do much?

We played off. We played zone.

We didn't make the young QB beat the defense. We let him drive the bus down a country road without traffic.

I knew the Giants were going to be better the day they hired Harbaugh. They are now a disciplined, well-coached team. We are neither.

We made no in-game adjustments on defense. How many more swing passes into the flat do the Giants have to run before Parker decides to do something about it. It was an embarrassing debut for CP as a DC. He had no answers and his unit couldn't get off the field.

He's the head coach, at it was told he was able to shop for his coordinators.
Schotty, does have input on the offense, and that was not a great showing either.
Is this the same Jerry, we’re talking about
I’m not disagreeing with you totally, it was not a good showing on either side of the ball
My main point is we forced four fumbles, and only got one, and drop two interceptions
And I only had the ball twice in the second half and scored on both possessions

I can live with new defensive starters and a new defense scheme taking time to ramp up.

Can't live with a DC who can't call a game.

The luck of the bounce is the difference between an ugly win and a loss. So I get that. Giants got lucky in that regard.

I get this defense wasn't a few players away, but man, we got to force some punts. Not like this was a great offense either.

Giants are an average team.

Let's not make them out to be the 85 Bears just to make us feel better.

We got bullied by an average team. That's what happens when you have bad lines, bad coaches, and bad GM
:hammer:Unfortunately the board forget that we have had two straight losing seasons. The Cowboys are below average and play two more bully teams that are better than the Giants in the next 3 weeks. 1-3 start is on the table.

It was truly the good, the bad, and the real ugly

SCHOTTY, does not run the defense
He’s the HC. He is accountable for all 3 aspects of the team.

If he’s not captor being a mentor to a young DC then he’s not really HC material and at very least made a bad hire with an inexperienced DC that he can’t help.

Giants ate up clock and kept the Cowboys O of the field. It was executed perfectly. Too many here expected the ‘85 Bears defense to show up. Reality is this team had the worst D in the NFL last year. It’s going to be a long season finding out if they did enough to improve.

My highlight was Caleb Downs, destroying DART

And then Jerry Jones in the boot, looking like you wanted to cry, LMAO

Nobody expected the 85 beers to show up
But we had veterans safeties, back there
Not rookies,
It was ugly

that was a great hit. Timed the blitz perfectly as well.
Curious to see his snap count.

The Giants could have scored 100 points tonight if they wanted to, the only reason they scored only 28 was because they took so long to score. Cowboys would have not gotten one stop if they had 10 possessions.
I concur. 28-21 was a mirage. If NY needed 45 they would have scored 45.

No. It was the offense as well. That’s why I can’t stand it when the defense plays like trash. Everyone uses their play to shield the offense from criticism. Dak and company played poorly. That interception was embarrassing and led to the Giants scoring right before the half.
I went to sleep after the first half. It seems like the same story, that the defense is shielding the offense from blame, yet our offense looked mediocre. They started with a 3 and out, the INT was awful and the way Dak threw the ball, he already did the same thing under pressure a couple plays before but it went out of bounds, meaning it was starting to get “habitual” at that point. Then Pickens had his crucial drops, to accompany our QBs bone-headed plays and bad drops.

The fact is, you are looking at a year 2 QB that came off an injury and was looking poised as well.
