No, it's not over. We might even win the NFC East by default. What difference does it make if we still suck????

I'm just tired of .500 football.

Dallas Cowboys still .500 overall since the year 2000.

I think we need to take a deep breath, step back from the San Diego game a bit, and realize there's still a long ways to go. The Cowboys are 2-2, the Eagles and Commanders are 1-3, and the Giants are 0-4. The Eagles and Giants play each other next week; and if Dallas loses to Denver, at worst they'll be in a 2-3 tie atop the NFC Least.

Looking further ahead, Dallas still has both games against the Eagles and Commanders to play and another against the Giants. Win all of those games and the Raiders on Thanksgiving, and there's 8 wins. And the Cowboys can certainly beat somebody else in the group of Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, and Minnesota. There, 9-7 and the division title.

Or am I just being stupid??

It's not so much that we're losing. It's the way we're losing. If we make the playoffs, it'll likely be because the other NFC East teams suck more; not because the Cowboys are that good. Is that reason to celebrate?

Im hoping for better but you can guess theres 6 losses at least left 1 to eagles 1 to the skins 1 to the giants 1 to denver 1 to the saints and 1 to green bay and maybe cant believe im say this but the lions.
Im not optimistic when I think about those games

You have to win the division to get to the playoffs there isnt going to be a wild card for it thats for sure.

We need to get better. We just can't accept that we're going to give up 400 yards passing to every decent QB we play. Right now, we seem to have no answer except to hope for a FG or a turnover.

The better 10-6 teams usually win about half their road games or else they run the table at home.
Dallas needs to win 6-7 home games and 3-4 roadies to get there.

how many excuses do you want? Thats the question, Garrett has proven to the organization time and time and TIME again, "i dont want this job" Why do we continue to let him have it? I could understand if we were other organzations, take Cincy, time and time and time again lewis proves without a doubt he cant do it, and STILL they retain and STILL he goes out and doesnt produce anything, IN A LEAGUE built for parity. Oakland, year after year. You just have to look at the evidence at some point, shake a mans hand and wish him the best. That time has come, it has passed and keeping the ghost around IS not going to make your organization better. Its just going to muddle down the road til it breaks or you decide to fix it. Another season is lost and dont hand me the "its early" excuse.

Enough already, that offense has had time to get it and get it going. Its broke, so you "go back to the basics"

Get the running game going, if you cant, find runners who will.

Terrance Williams can be a WR, just not for us.

If you field Witten and Romo goes for him, sit Romo, he should be looking at Dez, looking at Dez, looking at Dez, all the other recievers should be wearing signs saying "Look for Dez fool"

This is a simple fix with Garrett saying "guys i have to outsmart myself, because if i can outsmart myself, obviously i can outsmart them" and the other coaches are looking at him saying "what?" Just run the freaking ball". Its a hard concept for people who dont get the simple stuff. And really, most of hte problems are just simple things. It just seems to confuse him.

Of course it ain't over, it's just that we are another mediocre 8-8 team, truth.

It's obviously far from over.

But, you can't help but think that there is a ceiling on this team that even if we win the division we are not good enough to go anywhere. And then in 2014 we will have the worst draft pick order and the toughest schedule in the division. And Romo and Ware are not getting any younger.

I can't help but see the lack of progress where we can win 4 games in a row.
