While watching the game I was upset as I am sure most of you were/are. But after having time to digest it things (for this game at least) were not that bad. The team isn't as bad as this game looked IMO. They basically shot themselves in the foot the first half and dug too deep of a hole to get out of. My biggest concerns are opposing teams WR's are still wide open and Turn over Tony seems to have returned. I haven't seen him play that bad in a while. I am hoping it was just rust from the off season and not playing much in preseason. Murray looked good as did Dez. Here's hoping this was just a first game knock the rust off type of performance!!

OP is correct, however, when this team does get off to a bad start, they aren't good enough to overcome it. Or they seem to go into a shell, like oh boy, here we go again.
They need to learn to come back from these. They have in the past, but never quite get there as often as they should. hopefully they make adjustments to fix this.

and yes they need better players too

I would buy this but, as we have seen in the Jason Garrett era, this is what kind of team he fields.

Also, What has happened to our franchise?

Jerry Jones has completely ran it into the dirt. The sideshow is priority #1 and winning is a distant 2nd.

I almost wonder if he demands for the staff to pass the ball around the goal line to inflate passing numbers for Tony and the receivers.

We are an absolute mess.

Hey I am just trying to stay positive. Its the first game after all. Now we shall see after 2-3 games. lol

This is one of the few time I came away with some positives on OL, Defensive Line and LB. Turnovers one directly a TD and the other set the 9ers up at the 2 yard line I will not put on the defense.

Catch17, I am with you 100%. Through all the loosing/500 seasons there has been one constant.........Jerry Jones (as GM). I see GM Jerry Jones as the main problem with this team. I think he is a great owner but terrible GM. I know this has been rehashed over and over but I think its a true statement.

The sky fell years ago. The sooner everyone else figures out this team will continue to suck as long as Jerry Jones is in charge, the sooner then perhaps the needed changes will be made. I don't really hold out hope for that however, as I'm sure they'll have to pry the Cowboys from Jerry's cold dead hands.

Jerry Jones is probably thinking that we could have won this game as well.

seems to me its like this every week and every season excuse after excuse its so frustrating being a fan.

I don't know if the sky was falling but there was a cloudy haze on the field yesterday that smelled like Methane.

Good thing no smoking in the stadium....The Death Star really would have been in orbit...
But look on the bright side to some...Jerry would have been in orbit too....:lmao2:

If he were a great owner, he'd fire his GM.

He would fire the General Manager and promptly hire himself as Manager General of the Dallas Cowboys.

With a wink and a grin.
