This team is soft, mentally and physically. Has been since Tuna left.

Besides Dez. But when Dez tries to get tough, he gets blasted in the media.

It all boils down from the HC. We have a soft QB, a soft TE, soft CB's, soft LB's, etc. No hard-nosed tough guys.

The Cowboys are a "white" collar team. Game plan: Flashy plays, flashy stadium, let's blind you with our bling. Unfortunately, in the NFL, it takes "blue" collar workers to win.

We did not lose the game because we were soft. We lost the game because of turn overs and the majority of those were from boneheaded plays by Tony.

We were playing well in the trenches, the LB was better than expected...Tony just stunk up the joint as well as the CBs.

I agree, but how many games were lost last year due to mental ineptitude? Until they prove me wrong this year, I'm a believer is my previous post. I want to be proven wrong.

I'm honestly rooting for 0-16.. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom. The humiliation should eat jerry up

Never..

No matter how bad or how much I can't stand this team at times. I could never hope they lose.

Only talking about this game.

With the exception of the QB and the DBs the team was not soft.

However the DBs have been soft for some time now...soft and lost.

Agree.
Even Aikman came out of his "not trying to sound like a homer" mode, and said the Cowboys were winnig the battle in the trneches, offense and defense. and that the score is not an indication of what team was playing better.

And I'm not knocking Aikman by saying the "homer comment", as I think he goes out of his way a bit not to give too many high marks, rather deseved or not.

I do put this loss more on Romo, and Murray's fumble, over anything esle.

Yup. There were actually lots of positives but when your QB stinks it up and you also fumble away a TD they can be easily hidden.

I was happy overall with the line play on both sides as you say. McClain looked good at LB and we were tackling well in the front 7. We showed we can move the ball well on most drives. The play calling was solid you can blame Tony for some poor decisions. Even the second down at the 2 wasn't a horrible call - the idea is if the play isn't there you still have two shots to run it in. They didn't expect Smith to miss his assignment and get into third and long.

Baby steps yes but there is a silver lining. We clean up the TOs and get Tony playing decent and I can see us being in most of our games and winning some.

This loss as well as the last 18 seasons falls on one person. This so called team can't run itself anywhere except into the ground. RIP

While watching the game I was upset as I am sure most of you were/are. But after having time to digest it things (for this game at least) were not that bad. The team isn't as bad as this game looked IMO. They basically shot themselves in the foot the first half and dug too deep of a hole to get out of. My biggest concerns are opposing teams WR's are still wide open and Turn over Tony seems to have returned. I haven't seen him play that bad in a while. I am hoping it was just rust from the off season and not playing much in preseason. Murray looked good as did Dez. Here's hoping this was just a first game knock the rust off type of performance!!

We'll win some games, maybe even one or two we shouldn't have won, but were also going to lose a lot of games. The brightest pitcher you can paint will always be bleak by comparison to the Championship caliber we are used to from the Boys. Face it.. Life is going to suck this year as a Cowboys fan. Some positives if your into that, but we dont seem to build on positives.

There were definitely some positives in the game, particularly the way we ran the ball. Not only was Murray fighting for yardage, but the offensive line was knocking the 49ers defense around. I also thought the linebacking corps played well overall, while the D-Line was better than expected. Cole Beasley also made some nice plays.

If Romo had been himself in this game, I think we might could have pulled it out because other factors were working for us. The sad thing is we're not the type of team that can afford for Romo to have games like this when other factors are working for us.

Must admit that I also was disappointed in Tyron Smith. Our pass blocking needs to be a strength and it let us down at times.

you mean teams can play the clock when ahead by 25? Someone please tell Garrett should we actually get a lead like that this year.

It was almost a thing of beauty to watch how a coach who understands the fundamentals of football works.

SF continue to pass the ball in the game even up by a lot. Durant came close to picking him off after Kap was hit while throwing it. SF never stopped running their offense using both run and pass.

You can't totally go run in any game. But you can sure make the balance one sided like they did and we never do.
Plus the fact that if they needed to they could put points on the board yesterday.

they scored nothing in the 2nd half yet threw and ran the ball. 14 points were because of Dallas offense not Dallas defense

To be fair, the Niners defense is not as suspect as last year's Cowboys defense. The Niners ran their offense because they could.

and Dallas still stopped them to be fair. Defense did not play bad, offense put them in a big hole

They didn't have to. Watching the game I'm quite sure they could have.

If they could they would and I too watched the game, they did not stop playing and did not score so this crap of they could have? they didn't.
