Stranger In A Strange Land - Leon Russell

I'm only just now learning about all his accomplishments.

As part of a group of musicians later to be called the "Wrecking Crew", he was working behind the scenes for just about everybody from Frank Sinatra to Gary Lewis and the Playboys in the mid-late 60's.

When Joe Cocker dumped his band right before a tour in 1970, Russell put together a replacement group of musicians and together they played on Cocker's Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour. Russell pulled the group together and had the band ready to play in a week.

Leon Russell was a musical monster.
