Here is a look at the 14 seniors who improved their draft stock the most in practices and interviews this week:1. Danny Watkins, G, Baylor. Watkins (6-3 1/2, 312) shined this week playing inside at guard and displayed the outstanding hand usage, technique and surprising strength. He will be a great NFL guard and should move into the late first round. Watkins reminds us of Patriots All-Pro G Logan Mankins.

.....

3. Cameron Jordan, DE, Cal. Jordan (6-4 1/8, 287) showed this week what we War Room scouts had seen all year: He is an explosive player who has the athleticism to defeat blocks easily and the strength to overpower blockers. He locked up a top-15 spot this week.

4. Titus Young, WR, Boise State. Young (5-11 1/4, 174) proved he is an explosive athlete with the athleticism to run good routes and burst to create separation from cornerbacks. He also displayed the hands to make tough catches over the middle and flashed the ability to be a dangerous punt returner.

Good read. If we cannot work a deal for Peterson via trade up, I wouldn't mind a trade down to nab both Watkins and Castonzo if possible.

I think I am jumping on the Cameron Jordon bandwagon.

Most zoners agree this is the draft (due to picking 9 in each Round) to finally address our aging OL. We should be able to grab both a top tier OT and OG/Center in the first two rounds. If we slide down in the Draft, we may even pick up another 3rd/4th Rd pick to address other areas on our team. For our 3rd Rd pick, we need to grab the biggest mammoth NT available and then address our lack of depth at ILB (two aging ILB's and our backup ILB (Sean Lee) is injury-proned), 4th CB (to challenge McCann & backup injury-proned T-New), and pass rushing DE.

If get lucky and get Von Miller, we could kill two birds with one stone (pass rushing DE and ILB). Von Miller could be our hybrid ILB/OLB but he'd play wherever Ryan decides to put him. He'd also be our best player (weight-height-speed ratio) to cover the opposing team's best TE on passing downs.

If we get Von Miller at pick #9 (Rd 1), we can still get a near top-tier OT or OG with pick #40 (Rd 2), a mammoth NT with pick #71 (Rd 3), and then grab a 2nd tier OT or OG with pick #125 (Rd 4).

I'm all for drafting OL to begin grooming for eventual starters spots in the 2nd roud or later. But drafting rookies to start right away? Absolutely no way. There's no sure fire Day 1 starters in this draft, and with the lock out they're probably not going to have any rookie or mini camps, maybe not even training camps, so they're all going to be behind schedule in development compared to other rookie classes. We're already coming off a season where we lost Romo for the year thanks to a rookie mistake, no need to make it two years in a row.

Starters on the OL should be addressed in free agency.

2. Von Miller, OLB, Texas A&M. Miller (6-2 5/8, 237) proved this week that he is an elite prospect who has the explosiveness, speed and athleticism to be an impact player in the NFL. Miller is a lock to go in the top 10 and could go in the top five. He could become a star in a 3-4 scheme, a la Cowboys Pro Bowl OLB DeMarcus Ware.

Watkins could start day one. He's 27 years old but he's already ready.

And yet there will undoubtedly be starting rookie offensive linemen around the NFL on Week 1 and ones that will be playing well.

The Steelers started a rookie at center this year. How is that working for them ?:)
