wow,Ben landed about a yard short of where they spotted the ball.that was a huge mistake by the refs, huge.I noticed a lot of crazy blatant bad calls and noncalls(holding on TO) by the refs.

Not sure about that being a bad spot.

But toward the end of the game, the announcers said what I had been thinking all game: This officiating crew just kept looking at each other like no one wanted to think and make a call.

And when they did make a call, they were lots of bad ones.

and because the refs blew the first challenge, we didnt get the 3rd one that we would have (winning 2 of 2). That one catch by Washington looked like it hit the ground and bounced around and could have been challenged, as could the spot on R-Berger's scramble.

Since they blew it though, no challenge

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that is questioning the refs.....my son was even mentioning stuff about these refs....and I'm not one to blame refs for alot of things, but these refs were more unsure of themselves than any other team than I have seen this year.....they were giving spots that were beneficial to the steelers, etc....not calling other plays when they could have, however, they missed some against us as well.

But, this refing crew was pretty bad.

What about the fake off-sides against Greg Ellis... I believe it was the same drive...

That play really chapped me, that was a horrible call I thought.

what about not one single hold, the entire game? doesn't make sense to me. Seems like there is at least one O-line hold in every single game this year, never mind a game in which sacks are going like crazy.

I found it strange that Fox never showed a replay of that. They had plenty of chances during that drive and never showed it again.

It's not even debatable. The spot was awful. Those of you that recorded the game can clearly see that he was down nearly 2 yards from where the tape eventually marked the first down.

They may have made the fourth down conversion form two yards away...or they may not...we'll never know. But the fact that they only managed about six inches when they only needed one makes me think we would have stopped them. Our defense was playing lights out until then.

The long pass on 1st and 10 earlier on that drive was likely incomplete too...but it was fuzzy. Other than that, I thought the refs called a pretty good game.

Romo still should have played better and lead the team down the field for the win. He didn't. We lost.

The game was simply fixed with some home cooking refs. I wonder how much each one of them had bet on the game.

It was quite "odd" that every dubious call that could be challenged (but only overturned on conclusive evidence) was ruled in favor of the Steelers. The bounced pass ruled complete, the knee down on the sack was originally ruled as an incomplete pass, the spot over a yard from where the ball should have been placed, Greg Ellis' offsides, etc. Even the overturn of the knee down took way too long to determine. You could have thought a blind ref was looking at the view screen.

How about the lining up in the neutral zone on some unknown Cowboy player when all the players got back way from the neutral zone way before the snap?

That was a clear off-sides on the Steelers..

The offsides on Ellis WAS offsides....I was even saying "Get back..." before the snap and when I sw that there was a flag, I knew what it was.....

Not sure exactly which play you're referrring to, but I saw what I thought were several bad spots in the game. I based my opinion of the "unofficial" yellow line that is shown on TV, so that could be why the spot seemed off. All I know is that on more than one occassion, I saw a player stopped short of the yellow line, and yet the spot gave them the first down. Again, maybe the yellow line was off in regard to the first down.

Me too. But it's easier to think someone screwed us than to admit that this team just doesn't have the discipline or killer instinct to put away a team like the Steelers.

So the refs become the scape goat.

Yeah, funny how the yellow line was so off in this game :)

The yellow line isn't an official mark.
