Sorry citizens. I was wrong about the eagles winning it all. Oh, well?

Poor Birds. They will just get put right back in that cage, like a good bird.

They will be elimnated or set free?

The Birds will be set free this time.

:)

Watch and see!

God I really hope Pittsburgh doesn't win, but EVERYTHING football related has gone against me the last month both college and pro so I guess I better just accept it.

If the Cards can put 32 up on Johnson i see much of the same for LeBeau. they key is going to be the Cards defense. If they can stop the run its going to be a long day for Roethlisbeger.

And Ben needs to get Pitt to make some new hats because with that head of his and the cut of those hats he looks like a moron with them on backwards.

You don't think the Steelers know Whisenhunt or what?

Steelers in a landslide...their defense is absolutely unreal, they really have every aspect of their defense intact. Two ABSOLUTE STUDS at LB, Woodley and Harrison, two above average LBs in Farrior and Foote, one on THE best NT in Hampton, a pass rushing DE in Aaron Smith, a non stop motor on the other side in Keisel, 3 above average CBs in McFadden, Taylor and Townsend, an all pro in Polamalu, & an extremely hard hitting Ryan Clark

These guys are scary.

I have no bad feelings towards Pittsburgh, I love their coach, he is what every coach should be. Can be a players best friend but if you mess up you will get the shaft.

Landslide huh? Like a 20 point landslide? Like I might want to switch bank account numbers with you for six figures...you mean that kind of landslide?

That's what I thought. Besides I couldn't take you seriously when you said you have no bad feelings towards the Steelers. You obviously aren't old enough to remember.

Oh boo hoo. Look at the big man bragging how much money he makes on the internets!!#GQ! OMGZ!
And no, I am not old enough to remember the 76' & 79' SBs, but I do know what happened in them, and I do know the rivalry between the teams. Don't go insulting my knowledge of Cowboys history when you don't know me at all.

PS - You don't live in AZ buddy.

They put up 32 on the Eagles and they put up more sacks and similar numbers despite giving up 600 yards to us early in the season. Philly's corners are much better than what Pitt roles out and with Warner being accurate and intelligent in his reads he is going to get to Fitzgerald a lot because well Fitzgerald is the man and will be open.

Philly defensively was on absolute tear in the last 6 games.

Now lets talk Pitt's offense. They are a running team and well lets look to what Zona did to the 2nd and 3rd rushing attacks the first two weeks of the playoffs. Roethlisberger is going to have to throw early and often and well the Pitt offense just isn't very good to begin with. They ranked less than 20th this year.

I see a somewhat close game but I think that Zona will score more points on that defense than Pitt will be able to against Zona's defense. Only way I see Pitt winning is with ST. We shall see.

Let's see, during the season when Pittsburgh has faced "top offenses"

Eagles - 11 points under their season average
Giants - 5 points under their season average
Colts - Pretty much even @ 24
Patriots - 15 points under their season average
Cowboys (supposedly) - 9 points under their season average
Chargers - 17 points under their season average

The Cardinals were able to put up points vs. the Eagles because they got their running game going early. 35 rush yards on the first drive. They average 73 a game, they got half of their average on that ONE drive.

Pitt is the best run and pass defense for a reason. They shut down the strength of the opposing team.
Eagles don't have the DPOY either.

It might be a good game, it might not be. I'm predicting a 3 score deficit in favor of the Steelers.

Down with the Steelers.

Anyhow, they should have 2 suspended players for the Superbowl. Both helmet on helmet hits should have been suspensions, but the NFL is turning out like the NBA were they play favorites. Several times New England did cheap crap only to receiver no type of punishment. Of course we see the Jets safety nail Boldin helmet to helmet and he gets suspended. Any word out of the NFL for the Steeler / Ravens game? Nope.

I don't watch the NBA anymore because of it and as much as I love football, if they keep that **** up, I will stop watching it too.

If I were McGahee, I would have my lawyer file suit before the Superbowl against the player that hit him, the Mike Tomlin for telling players to do that, the team for allowing him to do it, and the NFL for not protecting him.

Pull a Jerry Jones and sue for $750M! :laugh2:

Spoken like a true homer with total disregard for reality...

The NFL didn't fine them because they were legal hits.

Steelers will win by at least two scores and it will be because of Woodley and Harrison smacking Warner around and because Roethlisberger will have a great game.

They didn't fine them, and that's fine, but they were helmet to helmet hits which are supposedly against the rules, no matter how they happen.

The rules just simply aren't enforced the same all the time and I believe the Steelers got away a bit with those simply because the league already hit Ward with 2 or 3 fines this year for blocks he's made claiming they were illegal.

I'm actually all for letting them play, cause I think the NFL has too many rules, but when you claim that helmet to helmet hits are illegal, and against the rules, then they should always be against the rules, no matter who does them.

That is simply not true. The rules do not state "no matter how they happen"...in fact they state something to the effect of 'intentional use of the helmet to strike the opponent..' which was not the case and it was McGahee that made the final move that caused the helmets to contact.
Clark started his attack by trying to put his shoulder into the ball carrier in a way to jar the ball loose. McGahee lowered his head in a protective move that inadvertently put his helmet on a collision course with Clarks just before impact.
Helmet to helmet impacts happen on almost every play and they are quite legal!!!

There may be a rule that completely prohibits helmet to helmet contact for quarterbacks or punters and kickers because they are often standing defenseless when they are hit but ball carriers down field are subject to inadvertent impact without penalty to the tackler.
