The talk is Cooper won't be back

Well this is certainly going out on a limb here....quite the inside sources....

So we can go from Coop, Lamb, Gallup and Schultz to Lamb and not much else in one year...ouch.

I have a feeling next year is gonna be no buy bueno.
The offense will be straight up garbage. You cannot replace 7 or your top 8 pass catchers in one offseason!

WRs : Cooper, Gallup, Wilson, Brown, Turner

TEs : Schultz, Jarwin

Lamb is the only guy left. If this is the plan, you might as well cut all of the big cap hits, go 2-15 and plan to start again in 2024

Can't link it because of the rules here but Michael Gehlken is reporting from several sources that it would be considered an upset if Cooper returns this season.

Still feel the only way it makes sense is if we plan to re-sign Gallup and Wilson.

Agreed. If the plan is to go with Lamb, Gallup and a rookie/Wilson, that plan is not good enough

Our offense need to get better, not worse

I don't know if there's much of a fall-off with Lamb, Gallup and Wilson. None of those receivers are as good as a healthy Cooper, but Cooper is rarely completely healthy. Gallup also has to prove he can stay healthy, but we know he can be a 1,000-yard receiver. And we know Lamb can be a 1,000-yard receiver.

We should be able to sign both Gallup and Wilson for what we'd save in cutting Cooper and have some money left over. I can live with that. Of course, I'd rather trade him, but Dallas hasn't been good at that since the Walker trade.

If for some reason Coop is gone, then I have a feeling we are finding a way to keep Gallup another year at least. Maybe pick up MVS of Green Bay on the free agent market for cheap. TE would then possibly be a need in the draft.

Its almost like Jerry said fine Dak, I will pay you whatever your asking price is, but just promise me that you can make irrelevant WRs relevant.

After watching the TE today at combines, there will be plenty to choose from. Like the announcer was saying while they were catching, you want have to spend a 2nd to get one, they will be there in the 3rd and 4th for sure.

This has always made the most sense from a cap standpoint. They should trade him to a team with cap space.
