The taunting rule

You know what really is annoying me about the NFL? The new taunting rule! I strongly dislike the Eagles. However, I gotta say that I thought the taunting call was ridiculous. I understand if someone spikes the ball in the face of another player and it's not a TD. But come on! This games takes a lot of emotions. I don't want to see the refs taking over the game because someone started to chirp at another player.

I know it's a rule, but I hope that they change it back so that trash talking can be allowed again. Rant over.

I mean, it makes them look stupid, but I don't think it warrants a penalty. Let the players have fun. It's a game after all.

You have to remember that we are living in an era of watching whose feelings we hurt.

I mean, I'm a furry for crying out loud lol. I'm used to being taunted in other places for it. I don't go crying for a flag. I just take it, and maybe trash talk haters for their trashing me. I remember at a convention in Dallas where a hater started running his mouth about us, and I pointed out how much in his head we must be for him to walk into a con and say what he said to us. Now, that's just the way that I handled it and the way I handle being taunted for something I enjoy dearly. However, Just the same, I think players are used to being taunted by other players. I don't think they need refs protecting them from other players taunts.

I guess, but I don't mind it if the players express that they're having fun. I want players to have fun. I think they play better if they're having fun.

Pity, one would assume when they say a football game that it would mean it's a game of football, thus, a game. Then again, this is a sport where the ball being applied to the foot is seldomly done and by a specialist that must be brought into the field. So, the NFL is clearly capable of saying one phrase in English and meaning something completely different in English by it.

Depends on how it's done. Sometimes, it can be quite humourous. If they think the taunts here are mean, they should see European football. They'd be hiding halfway through the game with the way European fans and players taunt.

Again, it makes them look like idiots when they taunt and celebrate constantly, but it should not be a penalty. Just means when they get their comeuppance, it'll be that much sweeter.
