The Team has Quit on Wade

The talent's there.

I'll go roster-to-roster with any other team in the league.

But talent has to be coached and that's not happening.

On paper of course. In reality, not so much.

Add the injuries, and it's a wrap.

Dont Fret its ok some of them will still make the pro bowl to boost their egos.

Yeah, that's what I mean - on paper.

The 'reality' is that the players are talented, more talented than the total roster of any other team in my opinion.

But the on-field product doesn't play up to the on-paper talent.

I don't even give the injuries enough consideration to where it would make a huge difference.

Jerry has an ego as big as it gets.

Fine to blame Wade, but really...

This team does not have leaders on and off the field.

Jordan gave the Bulls swagger. You could see it when they stepped on the court. Aikman, Smith and Irvin did the same back then. Teams were intimidated from the get go. That's swagger.

Jordan had Phil Jackson and the triplet's had Johnson. Guaranteeing a win in the NFC Championship game is swagger.

But I guess the reason I blame Wade is that he "accepted" the job and should have known better. The guy's been a coach for 30 plus years. The coach is the undisputed leader on the field and leads his troops. He's lost this team plain and simple. Again, just my opinion.

Also, as I type, I'm listening to Wade's press conference. The guy is lost and I'm not even sure I understand what he's saying. As per Wade, no personnel moves in the works but "we" need some changes...whatever the heck that means. The guy's just a shell of an NFL HC. It's just sad to see.........

I get ya. Still the talent is overrated. I stated months ago that if TO or Romo goes down this Cowboys team is in trouble.

I think they can rebound, but it is going to take some cohesive play on both sides of the ball.

Blaming Wade is expected. I blame Jerry just as much though. The Cowboys D is a shell of what it was just a year ago.

We have Corey Procter starting at guard......

Wade has lost this team .... they have not quit.

They have no confidence in what Wade, Reed, or Stewart says .... so I think they are improvising.

When people say players have "quit" on a coach it does not always mean they have stopped trying and playing hard .... just that they stopped buying in to that coaches system..

Hope that explains it a little better.

I agree with this.

Just go look at the footage of Brian Stewart talking to the defense on the sidelines.

You could tell it was going in one ear and out the other.

If that's the case--sounds like a player problem not a coach problem.....

Yep, been saying that for a long time.

A HOF Coach couldn't win with them and Jerry went the total opposite direction of Parcells and got Wade Phillips and he can't win with them either.

I think a lot of these players would quit on anybody, including Bill Parcells or Jimmy Johnson. The difference is that they would be unemployed shortly after...

Wow ...... Really???

So if our franchise QB goes down we will be in trouble ..... who would have thunk???

No doubt. But I think you can say that about most teams in rthe league, no matter how talented. Just ask the Patriots.

Is it possible? Yeah. Is it likely? I'd say no.

This team has numerous 'wake-up calls' and continues to sleep walk through the season. Losing to your Commanders should have been enough of a wake-up call that all was not well. It wasn't. And neither was last week's punch-in-the-face in Arizona.

You can blame Jerry - for hiring Wade in the first place.

The rest is on 'Mr Fix-It'.

He was brought in to coach one half of the team - the defense - and he and his 'assistant' have failed miserably to this point.

Team is 53 players.

Most haven't only QUIT, they packed up their bags last December and never bothered to set up shop again.

Romo has checked out mentally last season after jessica-gate (philly game). TO is a goner. Barber is now worse than Brandon Jacobs due to cupcakes & sunshine. OL is MIA for a long, long time. Ware preoccupied with his adopted baby and other things... no mean streak. And that is the best of the bunch!

QUITTERS who just DO NOT CARE (they're getting paid regardless.

links18;2358337 said:
That may be true, but what exactly does it mean? Who exactly has quit? Why did they quit?

Romo (Nope)
TO? (Not likely)
Barber? (NO, but he has been fumbling a lot)
Witten? (I don't think so)
The offensive line? (might be on to something here, but who exactly? FLO? Columbo? Can't say Procter, because he never got started enough to quit)
The defensive line? (perhaps)
Ware? (No)
The Linebackers? (Ellis seems to have mostly quit)
The CBs? (Henry is miserable, but not sure he has quit, everyone else is hurt or suspended)
The safeties? (See the CBs)
Special teams (they never tried in the first place)

So, who exactly in your opinion has quit? let's hear some names! :(

Well put sir! this team just has no direction nobody that they can point to and say u know if we follow what you sell us we are going to turn this whole thing around. and thats Wade's job!!!! but he's useless he serves no real role on this team! as much as some players have sucked i cant blame them for losing faith because before the year started all we heard and believed was that this year was Superbowl or bust. and i have no problem with those expectations especially for a team as talented as this one! but the guys that are in charge at the top their job is to show the team the players how to get their, show what the players have to do to get to the Superbowl! and our coaches dont have that ability!!!

Its like getting lets say a group random people whos have never lets say traveled and telling them that with no help of any kind including no transportation nothin, we want you to get from lets say from russia to china. i mean how the hell are they supposed to do that on their own when they have no idea how to get there because they have never made that trip and dont have any type of resources to help them with the journey. theres like maybe a 1% chance that by miracle and just strong will they make it. Now if u start helping them lets say u give those people a compass, a map, and some money but still no form of transportation. well its still a very difficult journey but now u have some of the resources to make it so its easier although still tough. the rest will depend on the mentality, will, heart, and strength of that group of people. workin together and trusting eachother theres a decent chance that they could make it! now take it to football. we have a group of players except for a few exceptions that have never made the superbowl or even been close. how the hell are they supposed to get to the superbowl when they have no idea what it takes to make it??? now if u give them some coaches people who know what they are doing well its still tough to make the superbowl but now at least u start having a chance because you have those leaders that know what it takes to get their! but again this team doesnt have that so i can hardly put the majority of the blame on the players when they have no one to follow because they have no faith in what they have! The longer jerry takes to realize this the longer and tougher it will be to turn this around!

I Really Really hope you are right ..... and I mean that ....

I like Wade ..... and I was really hoping he would cement his legacy as a great coach by bringing us a 6th title.

I DO NOT have an agenda here ..... I just want something done to shake this team back to its pre November of last year self.

Like I said .... Hope you are right.

The thing is I can accept a loss if this team plays hard. I have no problem with that.

I truly believe if they give their best effort they will win most of the time.

I can't take it though when we just throw up their skirts.
