Yeah he could have made about five 1st downs with his feet. I'd also reduce his pass attempts by 30% and limit or revoke his audible rights till he gets back on track. Maybe only allow him to audible in the 4rth or the end of the 2nd quarter, or any crunch time situation where we are desperate. If we are up or tied then he doesn't need to audible and blow the play. To much risk and he hasn't proved he can be consistent enough to make the right choice.

I couldn't agree more. I wonder if the coaches want him to hold back on running a little bit to prevent any sort of injury?

Seems consistent with Mr Greenjeans approach to the game, play not to lose or get hurt and you lose and get hurt.

case and point. 3rd and 2 first drive. Romo has all day to throw and overshoots Bennett (after he was wide open). 3 and out. Was it me or did he have a clear lane to pick up atleast 5 yards? Why he didn't run is beyond me.

I cant see Romo going back to running... its a pride thing! 3rd and 2 on the first drive v. the Gs, he had a easy first down and chose to over throw a well coverd Bennett.

the Brady thing has really got into his head!

Good point. If you recall, when they played the Giants in Giant Stadium a few years back, Strahan said that the defensive game plan was to keep Romo in the pocket where he's less effective.

Well, appearently teams no longer need to worry about containing Romo in the pocket now that Jason Garrett is doing a fine job at that all by himself. Great offensive coordination there Red. I like the fact that you've ripped all designed QB-rollout plays out of the playbook.

Honestly, for me, what made Romo "special"... what made him that "wild card" was the abilaity to make something out of nothing with his legs(if it was there).

I think this could be the difference in this season being a success or not. Everything else will be a facade.

McNabb ran = broke rib,,,, Hasselbeck ran = broke ribs...

I don't think we really want Romo running unless it's a big have too thing.

Go back to what go him his status and success = He needs to run when its there. Plain and simple.

IF he does that then defense cannot plan because we become less predictable. They have to leave a spy and he can have more success throwing mid to long range passes.

Its the only part that has really changed about his game. IMO.

I thought you were going to say adderall. :(

there were times against the Giants that.....I was yelling at Romo to run for the first right up the middel.....instead....he waited.....and misfired on a short pass.....end of drive....punt.... :(

just another bad decison my Romo.

he had no one in front of him and if I remember correctly on that play...we only needed 3 or 4 yards....run....slide....first down......

Statue QB's - Brady out for year - Carson out of playoff game....

Aikman's career ended from beatings in the pocket

You get hurt in football... thats what happens

Great point. Also Mcnabb was injured when someone jumped on him after he scored the TD.

I don't know if a flag was thrown, but it was an obvious late hit IMO.
