The Trey Lance chants could start this Sunday

If we get a repeat of last week and Dak stinks up the joint, this could get very ugly and very fast. Unlike previous years, Dak has competition and Trey Lance is breathing down his neck. Dak needs to play well and Dallas needs to win in a convincing fashion. Dropping to 2-2 and losing in a similar way like last week could make Dak’s seat a bit more hot. The fans might very well chant for Trey Lance and that should bother Dak.
I don’t understand how you think you stop the police up. He was the only who really did anything on offense. Did you missed the first time run . It’s his fault nobody could get open.

Hmmm...I missed all those super bowl guarantees. Oh well.
Just generalizing how reactionary fans can be. One loss does not a season make, nor did starting 2-0.

Fans here are using one bad game against the Cardinals to rationalize the idea that this is what this team is going to be the rest of the season. Prisoners of the moment.

Zero chance.

Listen, if you want the cowboys to move on from Dak. That’s fine. You’re entitled to have that position.

But in what reality is Lance breathing down Dak’s neck? Lance has been on the team one month. Has barely any practice reps with the team.

If he is going to replace Dak he needs mode
Time before that happens.

Get real.

I'm not so sure Lance is the guy but if this offense starts to fail I don't think MM will be the fall guy it will be DP
I was shocked to see that easy-reads-quick-passes strategy fall apart so easily. Apparently the "easy" part is based on a sliding scale. Hoping Dak can pull it together before we're too many games behind. Pretty sure MM will get another shot with a different QB if it comes to that.

we've seen dak, let's see Trey, Tray, whatever. If we're not then, just hire Garrett back as HC and I think everybody will be done with this crap show.

I’m excited to see if Lance can develop into a good QB but not excited enough to see him this season. The only way I’d want Lance on the field at all this season is if we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. For that to happen Dak would have to stink it up really bad and I doubt Dak would drop off that much.

But if we were eliminated from the playoffs then I would say see where Lance is at during practice and try to get him some drives. If we got eliminated then Dak would have to completely fall apart, which in turn would end any extending him conversations. Then I would say go into evaluation mode with every position, especially QB, and treat the games like preseason games. Then we can enter the draft knowing if we need a QB, T, LBer.

Dak wasn't the problem....

I think he's ready. Handing off 30 times a game and throwing short passes. Thats all they're basically asking of Dak right now. Plus, Lance is a really good runner with some burst.
That’s a myth. He is not a “good runner” and has very little “burst”. It turns out he is a terrible NFL quarterback prospect. Lynch must have pictures of Jerry Jones naked in a motel room with barnyard animals and a midget in a tutu. Hope Jerry got the negatives.

Trey Lance isn’t breathing down anyones neck. He was such a mega bust the 49ers gave up on him after only two seasons, after giving up three first round picks for the opportunity to draft him. He wasn’t good enough to be their backup QB. Just another laughable thread.
4-4 in his career isn't exactly a bust.
