When they start complaining that you didn't win by enough, you've officially arrived. :)

Or they accuse you of running the score up every week

It was good enough of an effort to win on the road.

its a W, but it was far from impressive...

if the Lion defender falls on Romo's fumble, its a loss, if Jason Hanson (who is nearly automatic in the dome) hits a gimmee, we lose...we got lucky today

If my aunt had some b??? she would be my uncle. Please you can if and but every game.

Heck, thats what GB is thinking against cowboys. True, Defense was bad today, but Offense wasn't all that bad at all. I do agree, if Defense doesn't show dramatic improvement next three weeks, doubts will start creeping about among themselves about the colapse in December.

It was a piss poor performance by the defense. IMO, the defense has been disappointing too many times this year. Granted, most teams seem to play up for the Cowboys or go with a completely different game plan (I think this is why the Cowboys have won so much over the years, being so battle tested with the different things teams throw at them), but there just seems to be something a little off about the defense. If they can get it together, this team will be DOMINANT.

What if's go both ways...

What if Folk made that field goal. What if Witten didn't fumble....yada yada yada

The Lions have always played us hard for some reason, and we always have problems against them, even in the glory days.

Yes the defense played bad, but if you remember, they only gave up 7 points after halftime. I think the running game through them off...

An ugly win is still a win. Ask New England.

Yep, doesn't seem like Phillips has them prepared for change of game plan by opposing teams against Cowboys. He expects teams to stick to what they do and not change up.

And thats been the big difference both after Rogers came in GB game and against Detroit when they started running right at cowboys.

Anytime you can come back from a 13-point deficit to win a road game when you're playing less than even an average game, I'd say that's impressive. Most teams lose in that situation.

Was it perfect? Of course not. Was it excellent? Not for most of it. But I, for one, was impressed that we found a way to win.

If Witten doesn't fumble, if Folk doesn't miss a field goal, if the ball doesn't slip out of Romo's hand as he's passing, if ... if ... if. It's not like everything went our way. We could have won by two touchdowns, too.

12 and 1 record has nothing to do with luck. The Cowboys have a 2 and 8 lifetime record in Detroit. The 90's Cowboys always had trouble with 3 or 4 wr sets. The Lions, Falcons, and Oilers usually gave them fits, yet they won Super Bowls. Again all those great teams were NEVER 12 and 1. Now as far as bad games the other one this year was to a Buffalo team who is now in position for a playoff run. Again we are also one of the youngest teams in the league with new OC and DC. Quit complaining and just enjoy its been 9 yrs since we won the EAST. Sad thing is during the 2000-2005 seasons you would take a win like this.

When you're on mountain top, teams will play extra hard to beat you. Plus when it's the Dallas Cowboys everyone wants to show their stuff...

I don't think we're "dominant" in the common sense. For this season, dominant only applies to New England because they play great on both sides of the ball.. Yes we have an outstanding record, but the win against Buffalo was a fluke (onside recovery etc) and today's game showed we're only dominant on one side of the ball.

Both sides?

Willie averaged 6 YPC against the Pats :)

Yeah, we played pretty poorly.

But we still won.

Thats a testament to this team. They could have given up after the Witten fumble... instead, they fought on.

At the end of the day, we won. On the road. Again.

Romo said it best at his post game presser.

If you think that we are going to win every game by blowout and 10 points or whatever... its not realistic. The important thing is when there was a chance to win the game - we had the chance, took it - and won! - I am paraphrasing... but thats the gist of it

lol

there is no difference between this win for us and the win the pats got over the ravens a week ago. there defense seemed to recover against that "physical" steeler defense.

Carbon copy. Our defense held in the 4th qtr when push came to shove just like the pats did monday night and when the ball is in Romo's hand at the end of the game you can just assume it is checkmate, just like brady.

Same game, carbon copy. And that was a 4 win ravens team.

I'm not abandoning my faith in this team, but that was not playoff level football. You're not going to get anywhere in the playoffs, playing like that. Usually, the elite teams start playing at another level around this time of year. That is what I like to see. Hopefully, we get more of what we are used to next week. Tony Romo, played at a playoff level today. He bailed the team out IMO.
