The true sign of a dominant team...

I'm not abandoning my faith in this team, but that was not playoff level football. You're not going to get anywhere in the playoffs, playing like that. Usually, the elite teams start playing at another level around this time of year. That is what I like to see. Hopefully, we get more of what we are used to next week. Tony Romo, played at a playoff level today. He bailed the team out IMO.

Then I guess there is no way the Patriots are going anywhere because they only beat the Ravens and Eagles by three.

lol

there is no difference between this win for us and the win the pats got over the ravens a week ago. there defense seemed to recover against that "physical" steeler defense.

Carbon copy. Our defense held in the 4th qtr when push came to shove just like the pats did monday night and when the ball is in Romo's hand at the end of the game you can just assume it is checkmate, just like brady.

Same game, carbon copy. And that was a 4 win ravens team.

Precisely!!!

just about every superbowl team has their "letdown" games through the regular season.

The Cowboys just happen to be winning theirs this year.

Yeah, except we had a little bit of a helping hand (Romo's fumble then recovery by Kosier), instead of tremendous help from obviously biased officiating.

If Witten doesn't fumble, if Folk doesn't miss a field goal, if the ball doesn't slip out of Romo's hand as he's passing, if ... if ... if. It's not like everything went our way. We could have won by two touchdowns, too.

Exactly.

And if coming up with hypotheticals as to how we could've lost a game is the criterion for us "getting lucky" in a win, then I think we could probably do that for most games in the NFL.

Or they accuse you of running the score up every week

You have to slip a Pats comment in every thread you visit don't you?

I don't think we're "dominant" in the common sense. For this season, dominant only applies to New England because they play great on both sides of the ball.. Yes we have an outstanding record, but the win against Buffalo was a fluke (onside recovery etc) and today's game showed we're only dominant on one side of the ball.
New England is dominate on offense but not dominate on defense.

I dont believe the officials had anything to do with it. Baltimore just like detroit had repeated opportunities to win, but they are bad teams and bad teams find ways to lose.

On the final drive the pats recovered a fumble and on 2nd down in the redzone brady had a ball batted straight up in the air and there were three ravens standing right there who should have caught it, but all 3 lost sight of the ball, that is just as lucky as kosier getting that fumble recovery.

The game was a carbon copy.

They spanked the Steelers. And I didn't say that the Cowboys won't get their act together. I just don't see winning *this* game as proving anything about how good we are. We got lucky; we stole one.

Exactly, I got that same thought when we recovered that fumble.

I was thinking that if you hated the Cowboys you had to have the same feeling I had Monday night with The NE game.
