the truly putrid officiating

like I said last night...it was either an example of gross incompetence or there was something really bad going on....as pointed out by someone else, if it was gross incompetence you'd think we'd have seen a couple of questionable calls go our way too, and we didnt

that crew should be getting time off without pay after last night

Last night the fix was clearly in, the Cowboys just beat it.
Sometimes that's just what you have to do in order to succeed.
Ever since the refs took the SuperBowl away from the Cowboys and gave it to the Colts, I have changed my opinion of how the refs influence the game and how often it appears to me to be intentional, regardless of which teams are playing. It's pretty difficult to beat the refs but last night's game shows it can be done.

I seriously was starting to think the mafia might be involved.

I cant stop laughing about this comment....it was soo obvious that the game was fishy!!!

Its getting worse. With all the money the NFL makes, we still do not have full time dedicated officials. And it shows. JJ was robbed, as was several others.
Just give those gomers masks if they are going to commit felonies like that.

they should get fined

The officials should be fined for their performance.

They probably would be if they screwed over any other team but the Cowboys!;)

It's good that the officiating did not matter, as Dallas was clearly the better team. Once they got out of their own way, even the officials couldn't keep the Bears in that game.

If you're going to call the horse collar tackle on Roy, you better call it on the other team too. They could or should have called it twice on the Bears. Don't know why Roy even did it, the guy was pretty much out of bounds anyway.

I also saw our kicker get "touched" twice, I thought if you touched the kicker it was at least a 5 yard penalty.

That call on Witten was as BS as it gets.

One thing. Even with the many penalties, I am completely confident with Romo converting 3rd and 15.

Roy was trying to keep him in bounds so the clock would keep going.

It looked like the Bears hit our kicker twice without penalty.

Yep. The second time it looked like an intentional blow to the knee. I was looking for Tanya Harding in the stands...

I totally agree. The TO pass interference and Ware's sack right before the half were a joke too. How can they miss such obvious calls?

The second one really ticked me off as they came across as being lazy more than anything. As horrible as the other calls were, at least they were snap judgement calls.

YAKUZA

not snap judgement- more like I need to fill my wallet calls.

It was bad. The only thing I can compare it to is the biased officiating in international soccer. I'm not going to go as far as accusing them of fixing the game, but they have to expect that type of reaction of football fans with their performance in the light of the recent NBA scandel.

Absolutely...Professional sports across the board has been coming under increasing scrutiny for corrupt officiating and I don't see why the NFL hasn't had the same investigation...
Great great win but definitely leaves a sour taste knowing how the calls went against them...Wrong is wrong

You disagree that JJ was robbed, Rack?

I wouldn't say he was "Robbed", I did the  cuz you named out your boy toy specifically.

It's not like he was gonna bust out 150 yards rushing. He got screwed out of maybe 15-20 rushing yards and about 20 recieving yards. That sucks for him (and the team) but it's not like he went from having a monster game to having a mediocre game cuz of those calls.

OK how much would he have had to have lost to BS bad calls for you to call it robbery?

I wouldn't use the term "Robbed" either way. I'd say he got "Screwed" and if the cowboys had lost I'd say THE TEAM got robbed.

OK. I can go with screwed. Admit I was just using terminology several pundits had been using. But screwed works- probably more accurate.

And I do agree he got screwed.

I'm just glad the cowboys didn't get robbed. :D
