This may not be a popular opinion, but I think it's sometimes good for a team to go through some ugly wins every once in a while.

At the end of the day, a win is a win, but an ugly win gives the staff a lot of coaching points to hit on the next week.

That staff can justifiably be all over these players butt after that game. Even though we won, there was plenty of slop happening that needs to be corrected.

I hope the staff uses this game to really bear down on these players and coach them up.

I think winning when your not at your best shows how good you are. Not often will a team have 3 turnovers and win, in recent years Cowboys make that many mistake we lost. No doubt a game like this past one will give coaches a lot to work on with players which is why I expect them to go out this weekend a bit more focused and fewer mistakes.

I think ugly wins build character through adversity. They toughen up the team's group mentality. Lopsided wins are fantastic but they can undermine your determination when you're in a dogfight with an opponent not giving an inch. This is why I really don't care if Dallas wins big or small, just that they win.

This was a great win for the Cowboys, IMO. It probably wouldn't be wrong to say it was an ugly loss for the G-Men.

it certainly maintains a never die attitude. It was that way when Roger was QB, guys believed in him and their ability to come back and win games.

It may not be a popular opinion, but it is a good one. There were some flukey things happening in that game (mostly in the Giants favor). To overcome the odds (-3 turnover ratio) and still come away with a win, because of pure execution down the stretch (no lucky bounces), makes me feel good about this team, moving forward.

It was a good win. I just hate games like that and we have way too many of them. Just flukey, multiple turnover games where we are obviously better than our opponent but can't put it together.

I think it could be a great rally call. A game we can build on....build a mentality, an Identity for this year.

We have to come out strong this game. Win or lose. We need to Battle it out.....

If we get blown out by that offense....then thats bad ummmkay, thats bad;

I do like the nice comfortable wins though too, like when we beat the Colts last year....:D

Love the win. Hate that the Giants made a game of it when they clearly shouldn't have been been in the game.
Plus the fact that bad coaching cost them the game more so than what the Cowboys did to win it. If they don't try and be cute and punch that last TD in,
game over.

the loss was extremely ugly for the Giants. they can choose to whistle past the graveyard and pretend it was a close game in regards to match-ups, but the tape don't lie.

Outside of some week one ball control issues, they were so far out classed it isn't funny. Plays ran, first downs gained, defensive pressure. All heavily favored the cowboys.

I hear ya but sometimes you get the same stuff in next game regardless.

Yes a win is a win. Come playoff time no one says well... The cowboys have the better record by one game but the strength of that win... Well.... We'll penalize them for it. ITS CHANGED TO A LOSS!

Agreed. I do think that an ugly won does give the coaches some ammo to light some fires under the players butts though. And I think that any self respecting player in the NFL would take those fires and turn them into passion to play better.
