There are two QB's in this draft class that are expected to be high first round picks. Winston and Mariotta. I think Winston will probably go in the top 5. But Mariotta is more of a crap shoot. Let's suppose that Mariotta fell to our pick at 27. How would you feel about us selecting him at 27?

it depends who else is still on the board...as always.
I mean if he can fall that far in this wild scenario , maybe one of Beasley, Fowler, Ray, etc are there too.

If Mariota falls that far, There is something seriously wrong.
I think Winston falls before Mariota does.

Winton = RG3 the 2nd......IMO....

Both go top 10 easily.

The probability is so close to zero that it's not worth putting any thought into it. If one of the top 2 QB fell to #27 it would indicate that teams found a problem that we don't know about at this point in time.

well, if it helps
I like Mariota in 2015 at pick 27 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>than I did Manziel at pick 16 in 2014.

But I considered the possibility of the players being there about 50-50 last year and very close to zero this year

Winston is a true QB. Mariotta is one of these gimmick QBs. I would compare these two to Luck and RG3 respectively. I think Winston will be the best QB drafted since Luck and Mariotta will flame out like all the other gimmick QBs.

Very possible, but he could be out of the league in 4 years also because he is an idiot when it comes to common sense.

The only QB hypothetical I see at 27 is someone overvalues Hundley and wants to move up in a trade.

Winston is not even remotely equivalent to RGIII. Winston is not a runner at all. His combine times are pedestrian.

Rogers fell that far, and Green Bay got a gift out of it. No ene expected the Bills to take Emanual either. We didn't expect Witten , nor Murray to be there in the third round when we selected either. Things like this happen often enough that the team should have a clear idea what they would do in this situation. I am just asking what you would do if you were the GM.

I would see what teams would offer to trade up from the 2nd round.

I'm not a Mariotta fan as a player, person he seems like a good kid. Like the 26 teams ahead of me, I pass.
