Does anyone think this may be the most exciting week of any offseason we have witnessed in a long time? I mean waiting for Dez developments, the AP situation, the Suh situation, Hardy, its just crazy how much is going on right now. I for one cant wait for the pandemonium to begin

Dez and Suh will get tagged and AD will most likely not come to Dallas. Why would AD pass up 12.5 million guaranteed to come here for way less? The only way he comes here is if the Vikings cut him before we sign Demarco. Excitement over.

Apparently the recent news has escaped you. The chances of AP staying in Minnesota in my opinion are slim to none. He doesnt want to be there and has made that abundantly clear. Minnesota would be stupid to pay him his salary knowing he doesnt want to be there. Sug getting tagged makes absoutely no sense from a financial standpoint for Detroit. 27 million against the cap? So 3 players will have over 50 percent of their total cap? That makes sense? No. Excitement back on. There is also Fairley who I would love in Dallas for a decent price.

I can't wait to see how these things go, but it might not be this next week when we see the answers. March 2nd is the deadline for the franchise tag and FA starts March 10th. I would like to see the NFL resolve the Peterson and Hardy cases as soon as possible.

It will cost Detroit 27M to tag Suh. I don't see that happening.

None of that will happen this week.

Dez may get tagged.

I agree. Free agency does not start for a few more weeks. Clubs cannot even start talking to player's agents for another week or so; thats when things will really start to pick up.

3 of the 4 players you mentioned won't be Cowboys next year.

Anytime I read the word pandemonium, I immediately think of Gorilla Monsoon.

I hope we strike a deal with Dez this week so we have as much flexibility as possible going into FA.

May be more like next week or so, but yes, some things have to still happen this week. Most likely toward the weekend though.

27M??!!

How in the world did the tag end up that high for that position? What players are driving it up?

It is based on his cap number from 2014. The franchise number for DTs is only like 9.8m. But you have to take the higher number and add 20% to last year's number.

DET was forced to give Suh a 60m+ rookie contract under the old CBA. They restructured a lot of his salaries over the years and ended up with a cap charge of 22m+ last year. His salary was only 12m+ but he had a lot of pro-rated bonuses to account for. When you add 20% to 22m you get the 26m+ tag amount

The thing is that DET could still work out a long term deal with Suh and avoid the tag. It all depends if he wants to stay in DET or test FA. I would imagine that he was gotten this close that he will wait to sign and see what the market will bear.

Because its not about money for him anymore. He has said this. He gave a interview where his wife doesnt want him back in Minnesota either. both would rather be in texas raising their kids.

Dallas offered what they wanted to offer for Demarco. He isnt going to be running the football for Dallas. Sorry to crush your dreams

Didn't realize it was a few weeks off for players agent contact. With that in mind we should just expect more rumor mill stuff till then

All teams tamper. Noway these guys who sign right when FA starts sign that quick without speaking with these teams before FA
