The Video Game Thread

Its looking possible that 2027 could have GTA6, Witcher 4 and Elder Scrolls 6. It would be hard to imagine a bigger year in gaming.

A new Witcher 3 DLC is supposed to come out this year to bridge 3 and 4, so that could point to a Q1 or Q2 2027 release. Would be perfect timing for them, because its puts it in competition with GTA6, without being in direct competition with GTA6. A hotly contested GOTY campaign would be great for both games

TES6 in 2027 is more a possibility than a likelihood. I think Todd Howard said he expects it to release after GTA6. Horizon 3 is likely a 2028 game, given its history or tragic releases(same time as BOTW and Elden Ring) means its will likely release within a week of TES6 (not really, but......really)

I’m also looking forward to the new Fable game.

I’m still completely hooked on Borderlands 4. Having an incredible time with it. I haven’t been sucked into a game like this in ages. I’ve been focusing mostly on the main missions, with a few side quests sprinkled in, and I’m already around 50 hours in with huge chunks of the map still unexplored. I’ll never get over how massive these open worlds are getting these days.
I received the game yesterday. I see LOTS of hours playing ahead of me. I really liked the last game. I played the prologue a couple of times to get the feel for the game and now I'm playing for real and I'm leveling up now. I've barely scratched the service. This weekend it's supposed to get really cold for this part of the country so I will have a great reason not to go outside and I can stay inside and game.

Awesome!! Yeah, there is definitely no shortage of things to do and places to explore in that game. It's fun and there is TONS to collect. Apparently (and this is not a typo) there are something like 30 billion different weapon variations in the game. It's crazy. Once you find ones you like, you'll know (I prefer the Torque weapons). I took a break from it after dropping a ton of hours into it but talking with you about it now, I think I will hop back in this weekend.

Enjoy!! If you have any questions, ask away!
