We are a joke that much is for sure.
That’s all part of not having real football leadership with our franchise. If you were unaware of the record of this team and just how embarrassingly bad the defense was last season, what would your impression have been from watching them after these picks?
The difference between them and 90% of the other war rooms we were watching is those others are filled with people who are accountable and have jobs on the line. They cannot just wait for players to fall to them, they have to target them and get them.
There are already rumors about the Raiders war room in trouble after their first pick and this is the team with the craziest draft reputation in the game. They're expected to be "out there".
We have been for a couple decades . Not sure why the alarms are going off now? LolWe are a joke that much is for sure.
How do those shots of the war room after making some of these picks make you feel?
What exactly are they celebrating and high fiving? The fact that they're rich?
Still holding onto that theory they care about winning?
Next time they give you a shot of that, ask yourself this question? How does that differ from the other war rooms we've been seeing? That look like a NFL draft war room to you or an Executive Conference room?
Pick out the shot caller in any of those other war room shots, can't can you? Got no problem with the Cowboys one, do you?
I have reached another level of dislike for this entire family as they celebrate what they've done to my football team. If mediocrity was the goal, they're very successful.
What other GM has openly tried to justify his first pick like this? Matt Millen and Crazy Al never embarrassed themselves like he did telling a reporter if he'd give him $1000, he'd show him the draft board to prove it? Who does that?
I am disgusted watching those people in that setting. It speaks to everything wrong about this team. And why it's not going to get much better.
It's all about the show, just like the team.

Watching a billionaire family with lifetime executive contracts, regardless of on-field results, pretend they know how to build an NFL roster that wins playoff games is the epitome’ of arrogance. How do those shots of the war room after making some of these picks make you feel?

all the shots of all the war rooms all the same..got it..stop hating on the FO for things they very much have in common with the rest of the teams..How do those shots of the war room after making some of these picks make you feel?

It really goes back to Switzer. It's been that way ever since Jerry removed Parcells and replaced him with Camp Cupcake and Sir Claps-a-Lot. Revenue is king, absolutely everything else is secondary or tertiary.
Because you don’t have to like all of the moving pieces to support the sum.all the shots of all the war rooms all the same..got it..stop hating on the FO for things they very much have in common with the rest of the teams..
if you dont like anything about the drafting, players, coaches, FA, and ownership..
why again are you fan? move on with the incessive starting of hollow threads nothing but a cheese and whine fest..
Imagine how we’d do if all owners were required to be their teams GM . We might fare better than middle of the road.I’m not happy so far with this draft. Jmo
But by ALL measurable accounts by non partisan outsiders, Dallas has been one of the top 8-12 drafting teams in the league the last 10 years.
Don't shoot the messenger (as people tend to do around here) ,its not my ranking, but that is how they are rated.
Btw, top 25-35% to me, is not good enough anyway. But its way better than many here seem to think.
This class so far seems like it might lower that some but maybe not.
It is what it is. Not many more critical than I am of Jethro and our Football Idiots. For many football fans, the draft is one of the two or three most important events of the year. And, understandably so. Like spring, the draft represents renewal and hope for better things to come.
With those lofty expectations, it is natural that many are disappointed with the outcomes. There is a huge gap for me, though, between disappointment and the utter shock of our round 3 picks.
I can somewhat rationalize the Joseph and Odighizuwa picks (although, in both cases, I believe there were better options available). No amount of Cowboy fan-boy optimism can rationalize the next two picks.
Too many other posters have listed other, much higher rated players we could have selected, so I want belabor that point.
This isn't a situation where I had a preferred 'pet cats' because I didn't. It is simply a matter of selecting players 1-3 rounds higher than the consensus.
For once, I wish JJ had interceded and simply said, "no" ... And that's a first for me
For good reason, Gettleman knows he's exposed. That Daniel Jones pick put him out there, he's got to get this right.Giants are being called a real organization this morning making great deals .
The misery around here is insane.all the shots of all the war rooms all the same..got it..stop hating on the FO for things they very much have in common with the rest of the teams..

IDK. I’ll be more hopeful in death. I wouldn’t assume Cheapskate Son and the Siblings will operate in same manner. For good reason, Gettleman knows he's exposed. That Daniel Jones pick put him out there, he's got to get this right.
Same with the Bears GM, that's a risky trade up but that's what he has to do in order to keep his job.
Job security is a wonderful thing, except in pro sports. Billy Martin was always at his best when threatened with his job. It's not desperation, it is dedication.
It is frustrating knowing what the problem is but even more so when you know there will be no solution, even in death.
