james did play well, but did you really just name a flipping punter?
Canty and roy would be a push at best in this game, I would have to re watch and pay very close attention to canty to be able to say one way or the other. I was watching Roy closely, as a result of the haters on here and my really wanting to understand where they are coming from. Roy played decently, which is more than you can say about most of the team today.

I'm not going to put the blame only on Roy but he is the worst cover safety. Cooley,Shocky,L.J. Smith and countless other TE's had been able to break big gains on him. yeah he's a hard hitter but playing SS in a 3-4 you have to have some cover skills. I know that's not our only problem but it's a consistant one that I can't hold in anymore. I remeber the Roy williams a few yrs back but I'm tired of having a liability on the field and calling him a starter
Is it Roy Williams head or Jacques Reeves head? Please clarify.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that Roy can not play in a 3-4 defense?

2003: "He may not turn out to have Ronnie Lott's career when it's all said and done, but you can't help but be reminded of Lott watching this guy play."

2007: "He's not as bad as Jacques Reeves."

I agree with you. there is alot of single safety coverage in a 3-4 he would be a great 4-3 SS

I strongly feel if Roy would lose 35lbs maybe 40lbs this wouldn't be an issue and he wouldn't be a pain in the butt to watch.

At this point I would like to know what happened to the Roy of years 1 and 2. He really is not even a fierce hitter anymore. I remember one play today where he went for the kill shot and bounced off the guy and the guy ran for more yardage. Just a shame we have all of this money tied up in him and he doesn't make any game changing plays anymore. As BP says, he is just a guy now...

dude, I weigh close to 300 pounds if I lost 40 pounds I would be ripped beyond all ripped, there is no weigh(pun intended) that a guy that size could drop 35 or 40 pounds.

Ouch. That is depressing.
