Do we draft another RB to help to take some work load off him or do we feed him even more? I worry about him burning out physically in 2 more years. Is the Stanford RB(LOVE) an option for us at 58? If he can get healthy, what would our offense look like with that tandem? Thanks.

DAL needs another RB w/ serious speed...a scatback. Also, they need another 3 down RB2 to for insurance.

In other words, Zeke needs some tag team partners to make the Cowboys running game more diverse and effective.

I know this isn't a popular opinion but whatever, I would never sign a RB to a monster 2nd contract .I would draft a RB and run him into the ground while he is cheap and young. Let him walk or trade him if he is worth a monster contract. Emmitt Smith's are rare and I doubt the NFL ever sees a RB with that type of longevity ever again.

I agree that the team needs another QUALITY RB capable of being THE RB if Zeke goes down. He needs to be good enough that there is not an off the cliff difference between him and Zeke.

We also need a speed back that is probably more durable than Austin as more of a Kamara type of back.

I think Zeke work load is not much and not as much as Emmitt saw in Dallas. Those SB runs by the Cowboys saw an avg of 22 carries a game. Zeke is getting 21 carries a game. I think giving him breathers through out the game is a good ideal but for the most part RB want the carry and great ones will say they feel stronger as the game wears on.

agree. Need a change of pace guy to keep the D off balance. It opens it all up.

They just need another good RB. Doesn't matter if he is change of pace or not. Just someone that is good.

If they happen to be blazing fast too then that would be nice but role players under Garrett never get enough opportunities to do anything so you might as well have a legit RB instead of a pure pass catcher or someone like that.

Any running back we sign will get 3-5 touches a game as long as Zeke is healthy (and he's never missed a game in 2 1/2 years of NFL feature-backing and 2 more years at Ohio State).

I'd like to see someone better than Rod Smith, who followed up a nice 2017 with a Trent Richardson-esque season this year. But the question how much do you really want to pay for a guy who's going to take 5 snaps every week while Zeke gets some Gatorade.

I agree. Let Zeke play out his 4th year and pick up his 5th year option. Then maybe Franchise tag him if he's still worth it. After that he's 27 years old. What kind of contract do the Cowboys give him?

Love blew out his ACL in the final game. I think he'd be worth a pick in the 4th round, but no sooner.

yup, that's why I mentioned him at 58. You don't think we should take a flier on him in round 2? He has monster numbers at Stanford. Might be worth a reach.

What do ya'll think of Bennie Schnell? I know he isn't a scat back, but he does have one helluva resume. Does his game translate to the NFL and should we bring him in as a late draft pick?

We need another RB that can rush for 400-500 yards or run for 350 and catch for 400 yards

I don't think he'll be ready for training camp and maybe not early season. Plus, his production his senior year was not close to his junior year. So I think he'll slip to 4th round.
