Theoretical Dez question/poll

If the Dez catch is not overturned AND Dallas wins that GB game, does he have a contract today?

I really hope our front office is not stupid enough to base their decision making on something like that.

I highly doubt it, though I do think that looking at below average playoff stats vs a franchise boosting, perception changing, game-winning, highlight catch to get us to the NFC title game would not be easily forgotten.

I think if the catch was ruled good and we won and then won it all, Dez's price tag just went up. Hes waiting for Jerry to show him the money and it would be a lot more if all that happened and the wait would be about the same.

Good point.
But it already sounds like his terms are in the stratosphere.

No it was just a stupid decision by a WR who decided to change agents while his agent was in the middle of discussions for a new deal. Not only that but he went to a agent who was in the middle of a merger with another agency, and then a couple months later left that agency.

After going to great lengths to stress that he wouldn't be talking about contract talk before a deal was struck, he's done just that. Causing the process to be unnecessarily drawn out by changing agents just before a deal was about to be struck did nothing to endear him to the team and its fans. It's not Dez's performance that was the problem in the delay -- it was his lame decision-making that held things up.
