Ill use an anology of a caged pit bull locked in a cage for the day hungry and when hes let out that pit bull is a sailvating, animal nut case. Thats the way MBIII runs in my opinion. When Julius is in he's like a caged animal salivating and when he's let loose, look out. If he's the starter he might lose an edge. The dude runs peeved off and has earned every right to start. Why does Bill give Juilus the majority of carries? MBIII is a BP type player. I know he sees the home run play ability in Jones but its like "come on Julius, we're waiting." Opinions

MB3 runs like he is in a street fight... I hope BP keeps on the bench as well and next year draft or sign a RB who can really share carries with MB3!!!

MB3 will come alive in the post season and remind many of a little Emmitt!!!

NOT A COMPARISON:

MB3 is a violent runner which reminds me alot of Emmitt. That stiff arm is a thing of beauty.

Can you say Ricky Waters, MB runs exactly like the guy.

MBIII is just a violent runner period. He has more skill than JJ just not the top end speed. But he's quicker, very good vision, he understands leverage and knows where the 1st down marker is and where the end zone is. Basically, he's just a better player.

seems to me that jj isn't hitting the hole as hard as he has in the past he's looking for something that isn't there i think he'd do alot better if he would just turn up field get north and south and try to make people miss.just an instant too much hesitation if you ask me of course that's just if you ask me though

I think JJ is thinking too much pure and simple. I think he no longer trusts his instincts because he is afraid of a negative yardage play. Also believe when it comes to power he doesn't have near what Barber has as he is smaller back. I know one time on Saturday night if he had broken one tackle at the line he was looking at another 40 plus yard run right in the face. For Barber that would have been a 20 yard run. With JJ's speed we are talking 40 or more.

JJ is running the way BP wants him to run. How many times does BP have to say it for everyone to get it?

Yeah and "IF" JJ would have broken that arm tackle which he didn't. MB breaks arm tackles more often. Put in the same situation, my money is on MB breaking the arm tackle and picking up 20 yards than what obviously happened which is JJ not breaking the arm tackle and picking up much less.

If BP thinks it's ok to run 13 times for 26 yards than we're in trouble. That is simply NOT how BP wants ANYONE to run.

I think I remember that quote. It went something like "JJ is learning to run the ball north and south. He is trying to teach that to both running backs. He said MB tends to break it outside a little more that he would like".

If this is the case, I agree with you to a point. However, I'm pretty sure BP hasn't coached JJ to run so robotically. I doubt he told JJ to run with little creativity and to avoid any cutbacks whatsoever. I doubt that he told JJ to fall down as soon as someone touches you.

Then why has BP not said anything? Why has he kept JJ starting? Why has he not done anything?

Seen MB go down on shoestring tackles as well. It happens.

Yeah but I bet you've seen MB break more arm tackles than JJ right?

Not even close. People around the league have already taken notice of MB. The Giants said they are more worried about MB than JJ. Why is that?

Who was the Falcon player that said "it got to a point in the 3rd quarter that the Cowboys had the look in their eyes like we're rolling now and you can't stop us". Well that swagger didn't happen until guess who came into the game. Guess who set the tone for the offense when we started rolling?

Teams have enough film on us to know what type of runner MB is and they know it is not about hitting him, but putting him down is the only way to stop him and more times than not, the first guy is going to miss.

MB is bigger and stronger - no arguement. He SHOULD break arm tackles more. You keep trying to credit MB with all sorts of things that have no factual evidence to back it up. especially statements by opposing players that have to be taken with a grain of salt. Between the 20's, you notice that unless the D is worn out in the 4th, MB does no better then JJ does. The O line does not seem to like to run block untill they get to the red zone.

I agree--keep him on the bench until 14:00 min left in the 1st qtr....then put MB-III in for the rest of the game.
