Not a damn song on that list that I recognize.
I do not believe I have ever seen the elusive and seldom seem iguana fart. Not fair though, you had to put it in a tub to get that. Not a damn song on that list that I recognize.
This thread reads like a bunch of old guys complaining about the music listened to by their kids/grandkids.
I agree with all of you, by the way.
Lol. I was shocked to see Pink on your list. Good thing I read further.Music is awful nowadays. I’d take Led Zepplin, The Beatles, Tool, Pink
Floyd... and a number of others before that list.
....and 13 year old boys do?! Since when do children have taste anyway?!the kind of stuff favored by 13 year old girls, who HAVE no taste.
Awful list, but keep in mind it only counts music newer than 1999.The latter can earn a diamond certification, the highest honor bestowed by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Since the official diamond award was unveiled in 1999, it has been awarded sparingly — if a song has moved at least 10 million equivalent units by combining sales and streaming numbers, and if an artist or label requests certification.
This is stupid. There are more people in the US now by far, so there's more people to sell to. You'd have to use a percentage to compare through the ages.
why did you change your avatar?

Dang it. I thought my affection for six of the songs would qualify me for HOVEROUND! HOVEROUND! HOVEROUND! instead of a cane at the very least.

It's the streaming numbers that skew (screw) everything up.
i miss morrison.Bored. lol..
i miss morrison.
Yep. Relatively speaking, it shouldn't be that difficult to achieve 10 million equivalent units in a world with 7 billion people. One teenager might stream a song a thousand times.
