There go our hopes of Willis falling to #22...

Patrick Willis ran a 4.37 forty at Ole Miss' pro day.

Hot damn. The NFL will probably take his 4.49 forty at the Combine more seriously, but that's a ridiculous time for a 237-pound linebacker no matter how fast the track was. Willis looks to be the first linebacker off the board in April.

It's a prediction.

Every ranking I see has Hill as the 7th WR, at best.
(some as low as 17th)
But I believe he will become of the 3 best out of this year's draft.
A 1st round talent that will go much later.

"Our" hopes? Willis is probably the least cited name on this board.

Even before the combines and workouts, I thought Willis was one of the top 5 pure football players in the draft.

Obviously this thread was directed at those who DID, in fact, voice a desire to draft him.

He's by far the best ILB in the draft, maybe the best overall LB. The new mock by Kiper has the guy going to New England at #24 which was a bit of a surprise when I first saw it...

He's an ILB that can run a 4.37 has the ability to sack the QB from the ILB position. As a 43 OLB, he's huge. Any team that runs a Cover2 would be interested in an ILB or MLB that can do what this guy can do.

which was only you:laugh2:

Anybody who didn't want Patrick Willis must have never seen him play. He's an absolute beast... a perfect sideline to sideline ILB, a tackling machine, an instinctive player. During the Arkansas game this year, he owned Darren McFadden and even ran him down from behind a couple times. I think he had 16 tackles... IN THE FIRST HALF!!

In my opinion, he's the biggest "sure thing" in the entire draft this year.

Thank you.

well said.

Not to mention the guy is a philanthropic saint off the field and a hard worker and team leader from a very rough upbringing.
A true professional and future star.

First round Talent is drafted in the first round, unless they have character or medical issues.

No way does he slide to us. Shame. But that is the way it is. On the other hand, he might push someone else down to us!

I always thought Willis would be gone before 20, he's the best pure LB in this draft, could pay inside, or outside, in the pros, his workouts moves him up to top 15
